Response to why is believing in Aliens that strange....

I understand your feeling,the best way I can tell you is God,through divine truth and inspiration had us humans write each chapter of the Bible culminating in the book of "REVELATION",to help us to live in the safest and happiest way possible.Contrary to popular belief,the book of "Revelation" is good news.Far too many people read the first 3 or 4 chapters of this truly enigmatic final chapter then just give up because they don't get it,or are scared of what they are reading about.It is not beyond human comprehension,God would not have put this last book in the Bible if it weren't possible for us to comprehend,that wouldn't be fair now would it?

I don't recall any aliens sending us a manual on how to live safely and happily.

Lets just take an example of why myself and others think its entirely possible for aliens to exist.

Space is an unfathomably massive place. Lets take an example of the nearest star to the sun, Proxima Centauri that lies a modest 4.2 light years away. Lets just say we wanted to travel to Proxima Centauri, if you sent a spacecraft at the time of Aristotle(about 2300 years ago) it wouldn't even be halfway there today. Our galaxy alone is home to about 200 billion stars, some Galaxy have up to a trillion. Now lets take into all the vast things that make our planet unique and able to support life, even the smallest degree of difference in our orbit would have made it almost impossible to support life.

One cannot say that earth is the only place in the galaxy that has the potential to support life because of those 200 billion stars, many of them have planets. The odds that a planet that can support life are very very very very small. But you need to look at the big picture. 200 billion is a very large number, if you say that only 0.01% of planets in our galaxy can support life. Numerous planets have the ability to support life. And thats just simply OUR galaxy there are MILLIONS of galaxy's out there. The big picture is somthing that we as humans simply can't understand because of the unfathomable size of our universe.
