Ridge Racer

I really like the game. I have the Japanese version (and have owned it since early February, more than a month before it released in the US) and it's really fun to pick up and play. Haven't played for a while though...

sorry, but compared to Burnout, this is just boring, instead of racing all the cars, you drive by yourself most of the time, and ocassionally bump into other cars, its really boring and it gives your hand cramps to (or at least it did for me) it does have a full featured Rally-X game, which I play ALOT more then the actual game :lol
 
WRONG, WRONG, WRONG!!!!!

RIDGE RACER is the best game on the PSP so far. I love GTA : LCS but I've put more hours into my RR game than anything else. This game is a ton of fun to play and has so much bonus stuff that as much as I've played I've yet to complete everything. There are frustrating moments when you feel you can't win a race but a couple of more tries and you'll end up winning races you thought you wouldn't be able to win.

RR is a very much undervalued, unappreciated game. I absolutly love it. :D

You need to play it. Seriously. Ridge Racer PSP is basically every RR game that preceded it all crammed into this one game. Beautiful graphics, great driving music, tons of tracks, tons of cars, some nice unlockable videos, for instance the opening movie to Ridge Racer Type 4 one of my personal favs, and even the Pacman car. There's no way you won't enjoy this one. 8)

Anyways, I haven't played this game, but my friend has it and he's always going on and on about how fun and addicting it is. I have no say in the matter.

Ill see if I can try it out before I buy it. I havent had much luck with RR since it debuted on the PS1. It's fun....for a while. I get bored of it very quickly. But Ill try it out.
 
The game is uberfun. Plus I feel that the car control is the best and easiest of any RR game I've ever played. There is also a nice steady curve when it comes to difficulty. The game starts relatively easy and slowly but surely and effectively gets harder and harder without getting frustratingly hard.
 
Excellent! It's the best Ridge Racer game to date. It kind of combines the best of all the games, easy to get into and gets challenging enough to keep you hooked.
 
Honestly? Hard as heck! I love Ridge Racer, but good GOD this game has steel teeth in the difficulty :( I had to sell it, because I just felt it wasn't fair...RR DS wasnt even this vicious :( Love the graphics...but the controls are pretty stiff and turning around corners feels like moving a rock

Yet I do love the fact that Rally-X is the load screen...
 
It's not overly hard, it challenging yes, but not frustratingly hard. The only thing I'm stuck on is the set of races versus the Angelus. Just can't seem to beat that car. Of course the fact that that car has infinite nitrous makes it impossible to hold a lead for long. You gotta make sure your just ahead at the finish, easier said than done.
