How good is this?
anyone have it, play it?

I am contemplating on the purchase.... and well.... the game looks cool.... I just want some outside opinions :)

Huh... RTS's are great :s

I think I actually have the CD somewhere, I don't think I ever installed it though o.0

My friend has been playing this game. I might get it, It sounds cool. There are so many PC games I need to get. I will add this to my list. ;) I know you didnt like WC3, but how would you compare the two?
 
This game is much better than WC3...

its cool because you go through the time periods.

You should get the game and we should play :)  It is a great game.  It can be very difficult as well.  I am at a stands till with the computer right now on 1 map.  Crap.... its been an all out war between us....  and I finally have them beaten back to their shores to the point where they cannot create any more naval units because I control the waters... AND the air :D 

Although invading their land is not easy. :(  Since they do not have their unit reserve filled up in air or sea... all their units have gone towards a land war... and they are pretty successful right now of keeping me out :lol AND since they have the missile shield technology..... I cannot nuke them anymore :( Crap... I dropped 8 ICBM nukes on them :lol wiped out ALMOST all their world wonders. :lol :lol You can only do 10 nukes in a certain amount of time... or you unleash Armageddon... and well..... you both lose then.

You should have your friend join up here :)

That sounds like fun.

My friends that I was talking about are all in my GW guild. We have our own site and forums so they dont want to join here. Nothing persona :) Im thinking about becoming a mod there, so I doubt I will be spending as much time as I used to here. I still will be watching the boards every once and a while though. :)

Hey Bv

My friend came over last week and I let him play Battle for Middle Earth while I played Rise of Nations on his laptop. The game seemed really complex to me because Im used to Warcraft or BFME, but overall I really liked the game. He said he had some friends over and they played 2v2 and the game lasted 4 hours. :) It seems like a great game and really fun for Multiplayer. Im going to probably get the game eventually.

Looks pretty good. A few questions though

1. Can you choose what tech period you start in?
2. Can you limit what tech period you can go to?
3. What's the gameplay like? Is it more action based, more strategy based, etc? How big is teching up and building up you base?
4. Online, are there many people playing?

This game looks pretty cool, but from what I've seen there is no US of A. I want the freaking Civil War era units! Confederates would be cool too, easily the best military of the 180's. Except they lacked a navy.
