Rocksmith Anyone?

I just recently bought this game and I must say, it has definitely helped improve my guitar skills. For those of you who haven't heard of this game, it's an interactive guitar teacher that works with a real guitar. It's actually really intuitive. The place it has helped me out with the most is learning fretboard. That was pretty much the skill that has been hindering my advancement in guitar.

If anyone is looking to learn how to play a real guitar, I highly recommend this game. It's cheaper than getting lessons and it does it in a fun way. Plus, you get to do it in the comfort of your own home. Of course, it does require a real electric guitar. There's no way around that, but if you have one, pick this up.

Anybody else, have this?

Actually, I don't think it works for bass. I don't see it mention bass anywhere. So I would have to say no.

It's on PS3 and 360 and it retails for $80 but I got it for $60 at Best Buy. It comes with a 1/4" plug to USB cable and the game. So that's all you need. An electric guitar and the game. If you have an electric acoustic, that will work too.

There's also a bundle that contains an Epiphone Les Paul guitar that retails around $200 if you want to go that route. Epiphone is the lower end brand of Gibson. They look the same but the craftsmanship isn't. Still a decent guitar though.

I want it, but seeing as I only have an acoustic, I'm going to have to buy a pickup for it first. Which I don't have money for atm :/

Wow, I might have a quick addition to my christmas list now. I didnt know something like this existed and I've always wanted to learn guitar. Even have one I could use. Looks like there may even be bass DLC in the future to make the game compatible with a bass.

I don't think so... yet. I'm pretty sure there aren't any drivers for it right now. I'm sure eventually someone will. Right now, the game is just PS3/360.

That sounds really interesting, actually. It's a 360 game?

I might get that for my brother for his birthday maybe. Shoot I might even try to use it.

I think Bluevoodu and I will have to look into this game.

I never did get into Guitar Hero or Rock Band since I already have real guitars...

I mean, sure, this controller is cool:

But not as cool as these:

There's a PC version of the game on Amazon. For some reason it won't be released until May 2012, but you can preorder it.

My sister got this for her birthday, she hasn't played it much yet but it looks really good. I need to borrow her guitar and try it out myself. Always wanted to get a little better at it and I'm just too impatient to watch videos/read text, etc… gaming is my thing. :D

She's a guitar player and just wanted to get better, especially with an electric. It has really good reviews.

Everyone here who has a guitar and a 360/PS3 should pick it up if possible. ^^

I saw it tonight. I hope the price comes down, or at least hope I get a better job soon. $60 is a lot for me to spend on something right now. :\
