Is anyone here smart with this stuff? I have played this game on my PC but now it says Direct X not compatible, even though I have installed everything it asks you to install.

its possible that you video card is not completely compatible with direct x. some video cards are not built to withstand all of the prosessing power it takes to run games like Rome total war
how old and what type of card is it.
if that is not the case save up and buy a new one.
