RUMOR: GamePro reported that Microsoft plans to acquire Epic Games for $1 billion US this summer, after the acquisition Microsoft can also earn licensing fee from Unreal Engine 3.
 
Wouldn't it be cool if Microsoft bought EA and split it up and sold off the companies that EA swallowed up? If only Microsoft were a good company...

Epic isn't the same as they once were man. It's not like they're still holding together the Unreal series well anymore, so is it really that big of a deal?

Yes, this is the same for iD now. Since their making that god forsaken racing game *cries a bit* their dead to me. And if Epic goes over to Microsoft they shall be dead too.

Microsoft was trying to buy out Yahoo, too.

Personally I don't think they need to buy Epic Games, so they should just leave them alone.
