It seems to me that Square did get lazy,especially with FFX and FFX-2.How about you?

After 12, no.

Frodus brings up a good question. If I had to choose which programmers have gotten lazy, I would say...

EA Games (just because of customer complaints about the Madden games in the past 3 games)

EA Games is probably the most blatant one. Rehashing the same game year after year just shows the laziness behind them.

Personally, I would choose Epic on the PC side of things nowadays. Also another would be Bungie with the Halo franchise.

I was gonna say that too but I felt for sure it was the obvious. :lol

Even though they're lazy though, I'll still buy every Madden. :lol

FFX is actually my favorite.

Nintendo is getting lazy with the console Zeldas. I think trying to make a successor to OoT restricted them too much in TP. They need to forget about pleasing that faction of fans (because it's probably never going to happen) and just make the Zelda game they want to make, and take the time they need to do it. Wind Waker was a great concept but it wasn't realized to its fullest. If they'd had more time on it, it might have been much better.

square-enix = no
capcom = no
namco = HECK NO XD
nintendo= no (TP being an exception )
sega = heck yeah
inteligent systems (though is part of nintendo) = they got better XD

square-enix still develops games with high production values even final fantasy XII was a very creative evolution for the FF series.

though capcom ruined the megaman series, they still make great new IPs and resident evil games are still top quality

namco still makes out of the box RPGs (tales of series and baten kaitos series)

well nintendo still makes awesome games, like galaxy, prime 3 and brawl, and although they were trying to create a copy of OoT that some didn't like (i did) they made up for that with phantom hourglass (wich is the sequel of my second favorite zelda game XD).

sega= well sonic games and monkey ball games are the only sega franchises i played, and the latest sonic games (with a few exceptions) are completely horrible. also the fact that super monkey ball for wii, well it wasn't as good as its predecesors.

inteligent systems has evolved in a few ways but has stayed the same in others, and even though some people hate them because they don't change that much between games (talking about fire emblem and advance wars here XD) they still make hard strategy titles with very interesting storylines and deep battle systems.

PS- here's my explanation

No, because everyone will probably jump on me, and I will get blamed for causing a fight.

just back it up with good ideas and no one shall fight you o_o.

ubisoft- they make extremely good console games but they completely make horrible portable games (looking at assasins creed DS), so ubisoft is a unsure for me

That's not a very accurate statement. While it is true TP only exists to please OoT fanboys, you can't say they're getting lazy with console Zeldas since there's only one bad one.

Or you could just back up your statement. There's an idea. :/

Then what's the point in saying they got lazy if you give no reasoning behind it.

Because there is very little innovation in Final Fantasy games.

*Watches as they all attack me*

wich wasn't exactly that bad, just average (to other people's eyes) and nintendo actually got a lot of money and good reviews out of that one.

hudson- they fail to me, newer mario party games are not as good as the older ones, they depend more on luck than skill.

(sorry i'm doing things like this, is just i remember the developers i know one by one XD)

@hines, see the reason we attack you is because you don't back it up, how is final fantasy not innovative if it was critisiced (spelling please XD) for changing in FFXI and FFXII (and many other spin-offs). i'm not attacking you this time, i'm just saying that you should at least back your opinion with some facts, if someone asks you.
