San Andreas 9 days early?

I was looking on the GameCrazy website, and it has San Andreas listed for release on the 19th. Hey, if that's true, I won't have to wait as long since I have preordered for myself a copy :woot :woot

usually you can't release something before the scheduled date of the publisher even if you get it before said date

That's not quite true.

If a game has a street date, then you're right, we can't sell it before that date even if we get it early.

But most games don't come with street dates. The only game recently that had an actual street date was Shark Tales.

Fable, for example, didn't have a street date. We got it early, so we started selling it early; with the only catch being that we only sold it to the people who had reserved it. So that's another advantage to pre-ordering from GameStop...on the rare occasion that we get games early, people who pre-ordered it get a chance to pick it up before the general public has a chance.

Oh by the way, I called GameCrazy, and they said I can get GTA:SA on the 19th!! :woot :woot!

9 days until I'm switching my Xbox with my PS2 (my 7" TV only has 1 input)!
