Series that need to comeback!

Snatcher_L

Go time mother humpers!
Alright so while there are things that are here to stay like Mario for example, there are loads of series that aren't really around for various reasons. What series/character would you like to see come back?
For me, they are:

Shenmue- I need to have closure on that!

Viewtiful Joe- C'mon! Captain Blue even said that the world would be in trouble three times! Let the series go out with a bang Capcom! (oh and if that save the world thing was a spoiler for you....Shame on you for not playing those games!)

Maximo- A third game was in the works....

Kunio-kun- well, Considering that we've gotten RCR: EX, Super Dodgeball Brawlers, and that new sports tournament in the works it's not gone like the others. But a new Kunio-kun beat 'em up would be fantastic!

How about everyone else? :)

Heck yea Duke Nukem! I'd like to see another Turok game, no, not like the last few pieces of crap they put out, but one that could actually live up to Turok 1 and 2. Some others are-

Dark Cloud
Shadowman
Shadowgate
KOTOR

Shenmue won't happen sadly, since the crew split up.

Maximo, would love to see, yet I'd rather have a true sequel to Ghost N Goblins series much like the PSP game.

Gauntlet needs to make a serious comeback without sucking! Seven Sorrows was a heartbreaker!

Gauntlet would be really cool to see again, but I don't know how well the simple mechanics would stand up to newer games. And Seven Sorrows sucked :(

heck yeah dark cloud, sans that picture crap from dark cloud two.

Shadowrun with the rpg elements. Wasn't a fan of the 360 version, it wasn't even shadowrun to me, it was halo with a gimmick.
Kotor SHOULD come back..... I think there's something in the works already (someone here probably knows for sure)
Pilotwings I miss you
and c'mon square, where's the chrono games?

as far as gauntlet I think it's dead. Sorrows killed it. it was awesome, and now it's gone. It would have to get a major overhaul and turn into something it's not.

Yea man a new Chrono game would be a dream come true! I didn't really mind the picture thing in DC2, but I didn't love it either. I think I need to play that game again soon, though!

I love Gauntlet Legends/Dark Legacy! Whenever my friends come over we play it for hours.
I agree with you all though. Seven Sorrows was crap. :-X

I thought Seven Sorrows was good, it was just stupidly short, and little reason to go through it again. It was the different mechanics that made it a bit annoying.

I couldn't get past it, the whole picture thing. Ended up not finishing the game, and that's rare for me to pick up a rpg and not finish it. A third dark cloud may give me reason to dust off the ps3!

though of a couple more

Tecmo Bowl (even sports game haters loved the tecmo bowl games)
battle toads
earthworm jim
double dragon
contra

yeah yeah, I know the now gen stuff is too good to put some dinky side scroll platformers on (which I'd imagine that's the reason a lot of these favored series are "retired" or dead or whatever) so toss them out on a psp or something!

Megaman Legends T_T i want number 3 already.... also even though is not a series i would LOVE a sequel of Legend of Dragoon

Gauntlet, I was SOOOOOOOO disappointed in 7Sorrows. I would love to see Rampage taken to new heights on a next gen console and Streets of Rage would be great if it was brought up to speed as well.

It did, many times. Especially last week on Nintendo Wii. "Contra Rebirth" can be downloaded from the WiiWare store. for $10

CONTRA 4 on NDS is pretty good too, but rather hard is a pure understatement.

Neo Contra on PS2 was serious business of being sweet. Contra Shattered Soldiers on PS2 was evil, but man it was good.
