I know the "PS3" is backwards compatible for some "PS2" games but not the "GAMESHARK-VERSION 4" for the "PS2".Is there a way to configure my "PS3" to allow it to work?

It's not illegal, but if something goes wrong, don't expect Sony to do anything about it.
