*sigh* Castlevania Judgement confirmed for Wii

Characters confirmed thus far - Dracula, Simon, Alucard, Shanoa, and Maria Renard.
Classic subweapons - holy water, magic spells, dagger, boomerang
Subweapon use still depends on hearts
Remixed classic Castlevania tunes
Set traps, destroyable environments, enemy monsters interfere with battle
Nunchuck controls character movement, Wiimote used for motion attacks

I am beyond let down at the moment...way to ruin a franchise.

way to bait :/.

and i wouldn't count this game out just yet (both control and gameplay wise)

Just like every Wii game.

no, just like every game that hasn't come out yet and it has a least a minimum possibility of being good. please stop that baiting of yours.

also hines Iga said that he didn't want to make a wii castlevania game because it would get tiring, so it probably won't have a lot of motions

The only saving grace for this would be if you could use the Gamecube controller. There's no way I'm waving my Wiimote around in a Castlevania FIGHTER of all things.

Maybe God will smile down upon this though and make it...average to say the least.

well most likely they would let us do that, i mean even the minor fighters do (naruto).

well there's not a lot of info so far so i don't really think we can even judge it bad or good, the only thing we know is the concept, and i still is not that bad.

This is incredibly disappointing for me. I would have much rather had a more traditional Castlevania game instead of a fighter.

Would you rather he automatically assumed they suck before playing them?

I can bet you $5 that whoever is doing this, is the same crew behind CastleVania from the N64. I know the real Iga would never do such a project...

Well, yeah. The majority of Wii games are huge disappointments.
Firstly, you haven't played the majority of Wii games so I'm not really sure where you're getting that. Secondly, saying that Ninjabread Man sucks so every game on the Wii will suck makes no sense. The games are completely unrelated and the quality of one has no baring on the quality of the other.

Fighting games on the Wii are fun, though. The Bleach game for example is pretty cool, and of course SSBB is awesome.

I think I'll wait to see more before I make any kind of decision, but I'm definitely curious. I do like fighting games, and a fighting game with Castlevania characters is kind of interesting. ^_^

agreed, i think the concept might work but is too early to say if is good or bad

To fully express what I told Zidart to say, IGA has stated the thing that keeps him from making a Castlevania Wii game is that he wants Castlevania games to be played for hours at a time, and it becomes tiring to have lots of movement throughout that. So, yes, I will praise the non-motion abusing control. Also, next time you want to bait, at least do some research on the subject.

Actually I, as well as the other mods would prefer people not to bait, period.

It's one thing to express an opinion. Really, that's not a problem at all. People have different tastes in games, and sometimes there are going to be games that you don't like. But, keep the discussion to the game, and don't bring people into it.
