Song Lyrics

mrs_enigma

Here is a lil smile for ya :)
Post a few of the lyrics out of like three of your fave songs. Don't write out the whole song...just a few lyrics.

Sound good?

"Your beautiful. Your Wings are wide. So wonderful. You make me high."
-Andy Hunter "Life"...(Christian techno)

"I'm in last place...if I place at all, but there's hope for this underdog...." Audio Adrenaline, Underdog

"I've got a ticket for adventure for two...could be your golden opportunity"..as done by Plumb. I think the song is "In A UFO"

"Seize the day or die regretting the time you lost" -Seize the Day sung by Avenged Sevenfold

"I'd rather feel pain than nothing at all" -Pain sung by Three Days Grace

"I find it kinda funny, I kinda find it sad. The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I ever had." -Mad World sung by Gary Jules

I take it, you like to think about death and dying a lot?

It was actually orginally sung by Tears For Fears. Gary Jules did a remake for the movie Donnie Darko. :)

My favorite songs change daily. :D But for now, here's some of my current favs.

Heaven's gates won't open up for me
With these broken wings I'm fallin'
And all I see is you
These city walls ain't got no love for me
I'm on the ledge of the eighteenth story
And oh I scream for you
- Nickelback "Savin' Me"

So keep breathing
'Cause I'm not leaving
Hold on to me and, never let me go
- Nickelback "Far Away"

I don't think I ever heard anything by that group, but that first song sounded interesting to me.

"So open up for me. Tell me everything you've never said before, tell me anything. Give me honesty. Honestly."
- 5 Years in the making - The Pilot

"Wish you were here
I'm a wounded satellite
I need you now
Put me back together
Make me right"
-Anna Molly - Incubus

"You said you hate my suffering, and you understood and you'd take care of me. That you'd always be there. Well where are you now?"
- Haligh, Haligh, a lie, Haligh - Bright Eyes

" My hands they felt ...just like two baloons"

or how about " Don't want no Captain Crunch, Don't want no Raisin Bran...Don't you know that other kids are starving in Japan, so eat it. Just eat it. Open up you mouth and feed it..."
Ha.

Okay, my name is Manson2, I have Marilyn Manson as my avatar; so of course I would put some lyrics to some of my fav. songs by him-

"and I'm a black rainbow,
and I'm an ape of god,
I've got a face that made for violence upon,
and I'm a teen distortion,
survived abortion-
a rebel from the waist down!"
-Disposable Teens, Marilyn Manson

"Is this what you wanted?
This is what you get.
Turned all your lives into ****.
You never accepted or treated me fair-
blame me for what I bleive and I wear."

"King Kill 33"-Marilyn Manson

"Pray now, baby-
pray your life was just a dream!!
The world in my hands,
and no one's left to hear you scream-
no one left for you!!"
-"The Man That You Fear" Marilyn Manson

"A pill to make you numb,
A pill to make you dumb,
A pill to make you anybody else,
But all the drugs in this world-
Won't save her from herself."
-"Coma White" Marilyn Manson

Bunch more, just too much time to write them.

"This is the greatest and best song in the world... Tribute.

Long time ago me and my brother Kyle here,
we was hitchhikin' down a long and lonesome road.
All of a sudden, there shined a shiny demon... in the middle... of the road.
And he said:

*Snarl* "Play the best song in the world, or I'll eat your soul!"

Well me and Kyle, we looked at each other,
and we each said... "Okay."

And we played the first thing that came to our heads,
Just so happened to be,
The Best Song in the World, it was The Best Song in the Woorrrrld!

Look into my eyes and it's easy to see
One and one make two, two and one make three,
It was destiny.
Once every hundred-thousand years or so,
When the sun doth shine and the moon doth glow
And the grass doth grow...

Needless to say, the beast was STUNNED! :o
Whip-crack! Went his Whoopy tail!
And the beast was done.
He asked us: "*SNORT* Be you angels?!?"

And we said, "NAY. We are but MEN!" ROCK!"

"Tribute- Tenacious D"

I HATE YOU.......... :hh

Here's some more-

"A rat on the scraps,
Jaws to the fossil,
Turn into conventional man, yeah.

Persistence of the system accumilate
Collection like a hype show on the surface
LET IT ALL BLEED OUT

High Status freaks
Grandize and screaming
I'm a major, prince, squire and king, yeah.

Black the appearence circus roles for
Nothing all the odd ones leave 'em
Screaming!!"

"Let It All Bleed Out"- Rob Zombie

"Again the Burden of Losing Rest upon my shoulders-
and its weight seems unbearable.
Your tomb is is where is Heart is I should have told her-
But within me Hid a Secret So Terrible.
To Cry is know that your alive;
But my river of Tears has Run Dry..."
"Buried Alive By Love"-by HIM

"Cause I stopped burning people,
started burning CDs.
Stopped battling the world,
started battling MCs.
Just started bustin rhymes,
finally found my groove
now the SS on my jacket stands for super smooth."

...

"To all the Aryans in the area that are carrying rhymes,
and Neo-Nazis better watch me catch on up with the times.
When other rappers see me the coming yo they run and they hide,
I grab the mic and commit lyrical genocide.
..
Cause when it comes to dropping hooks,
there is none greater
Throw a finger to my public then a grab my dictator."

Sorry. Too awesome.

Ah... haha.. absolutely fantastic. It's so much better with the music.. :) This song is so awesome if you're a history buff (Caesar/Hitler/Alexander), but more specifically for this instance Nazi Germany/WW II.

Satori, this is a little off topic, but I have met white supremacists before. You know, people who wear nazi pins, and t-shirts that say, "Real Women Don't Marry Outside Their Race". Garbage like that. They were friends of some people I knew.

Just thought you'd find that interesting.....It was freaky. I don't hang around the people who had the White Suprmacist friends anymore. Man, How could they be friends to people who think Hitler was great and deny the Holocaust and think satan and Eve had kids together? I mean, what could they possibly have in common with those people??

Just rambling, back to people's fave lyrics now......

This is a rough topic for a lot of people, particularly with the way modern day Americans are cultured to "think" about "racism" and such topics. Instead of creating a culture of understanding and compassion, we create retro-racism (IE: against whites, for example - common example - whereas it's a-okay to do other things, long as you're not white bud!).

I'm a gigantic fan of Hitler and Nazi Germany. You have to understand through bad things come great things. Consider that you may not be living the cushy life you are today if Hitler hadn't gotten pissed off (by not being accepted in to art school) and became a political power figure on meth all the time (a bit extravagant, but you get the idea). The German War Machine and World War II helped shape the United States as we know it today - in to the Ultra Power that it became. The USA may deny it to certain degrees, but make no mistake the corporations were grinning as wide as the grinch on Christmas Eve when Hitler was plowing through Europe.

Yes. Millions died. Is Hitler responsible? For many bad things, certainly. Interestingly enough, one can mention Julias Caesar and receive no flack, yet Hitler creates automatic tension. I think most people have a tendency to forget as time passes, and Caesar is as ancient as time itself comparatively. Most people forget the way he treated others in the wars of Gaul, as Rome's (arguably) greatest general. A famous quotation goes something along the lines of this: "My soldiers perform just as well reeking of perfume."

One can only come to obvious conclusions from that statement. Caesar was a ruthless tyrant, but through him Rome became even more of an ultra power in the world, still holding the candle as the greatest cultural power to ever walk the Earth. Caesar should have never been murdered, he would have done even greater things for Rome.

Despite my love for Nazi Germany/Adolf Hitler/World War II, nothing beats Imperial Rome.

Alexander's another wonderful figure (and an inspiration to Caesar), but that's another topic entirely...

Uhm. In conclusion, I think Neo-Nazis (the popularized form) are idiots, though I absolutely hate people who are "anti-racist" (IE: extremely and overly sensitive about "racial" terminologies). These people do more harm than good.

Enigma, if you're into Christian bands, you might want to check out Mae. They have some pretty good upbeat rock stuff and a few softer songs. It's worth a listen. Tisbury Lane, Soundtrack for our Movie, and Embers and Envelopes are some of my favorites.

Satori, I am against any form of racism......so maybe you are gonna have to hate me.......ah, well.
I think I hate racists......not to start a big fight or anything, but I am part Cherokee and Mohawk. I look super pale white, and am mostly German and Swedish, but I do have a Great Grandma who was completely Indian only three generations ago, not ten, or something.

I am not starting a fight, but I would not let you in my house if you were wearing a racist shirt.

On the other hand, I don't know exactly what you mean with your other statement, but I will give you the benefit of the doubt.....for instance, America would not exist today if a bunch of selfish jerks hadn't come over here without asking and killed my ancestors...and I do love America.....but I still hate the guys who stole from my Indian ancestors...and now they try to make laws on immigration, and I think "What right do you have to say that more people can not come over here and steal your land back away from you." How did it ever become their land.

By the way, this is my thread, and I choose to change topics and derail it.

This is getting interesting...................................

Yes, I like Christian groups. I like upbeat, and energetic stuff that I can exercise or dance to.

Where do you live? For like the past year Nickelback is all you hear on the radio. But the songs are awesome. On their new cd, EVERY song is a hit. That's really rare.
