I have Sonic Classic Collection, so now I have about 3 or more versions of the same Sonic 16-bit games from Genesis to PS2/Gamecube and Nintendo DS. A Sonic game I own the most copies of has gotta be Sonic 2, because I have 5 copies now on different systems and compilations.
The gameplay on the 16-bit Sonic games on DS suffers from slowdown, but it's not any worse except that the ending music runs out before the Sonic 1 Credits screen ends.
The screen resolution had to be squished to fit the top DS screen, but the good thing is that I can save my progress @ the start of the next level on Sonic games that never had a save feature such as the first two Sonic games and Sonic & Knuckles, Sonic 3 and S3&K still has the same save feature except that Competition mode is removed from the DS version.
Sonic 2 title screen on the DS version has a Player Select where the 1 Player, 2 Player VS, and Options used to be @ the bottom of the menu.
Every time I clear a Sonic 3 (or S&K) Special Stage with a Perfect, the Act Complete music plays again right after the Extra Life music plays every 50,000 points. I'm talking differences and glitches here.
At least Sonic Classic Collection is good on the go but not as good as playing the old Sonic games on a Genesis Nomad, but SEGA didn't screw up a whole lot of these ports this time.
