Sonic Mega Collection Plus

Has anyone else heard of this?

It sucks majorly. If i'd have known PS2 were gonna release the same game as Gamecube but out-do them with the classic Gamegear Sonic games, I probably would of waited.

Oh well, I might still buy it like the sucker I am. :-\

Its not rated that high. It doesnt look that bad though. If you get it, let me know how it is.

It's actually good...but there is a catch...

See, each game is hidden, you start off with about 6 Sonic games...but you got 14 total (8 hidden)

but the PS2/Xbox version gives you 6 additonal games from GameGear to play as well

two special games "The Ooze" and "Comix zone" is hidden in the game, but the only way to unlock them is to have Sonic Heroes saved on your Memory Card

to unlock the others (play each one 20 times, I kid you not)

It's a great collection and a minor upgrade to the GameCube classic

Yet it's nice for Xbox and PS2 owners....and for $19.99 you really can't beat that

Thanks for the info

I might have to check it out for myself...

On top of that, actually...

You see, the Japanese version of Sonic Mega Collection on GameCube has Comix Zone and The Ooze...I have no clue why these two were removed from the American version.

Plus, Sonic Adventure DX on GameCube gives you ALL 12 known Sonic GameGear games as hidden bonuses

Honestly, you are not missing much when you compare the two PS2/Xbox Vs. Cube ports

It's better to have Sonic DX and Sonic Mega Collection to get the full deal of Sonic games

Yeah, I just read more about this in games magazine and it just doesn't sound worth it. The rare games such as Comix and Ristar are VERY hard to unlock aparantly.

The problem with the emulation though is that it does not fill the screen. The games are placed within a frame.

Actually I never had that problem, it's pretty solid on my screen (Then again I have only played the Cube version)
