Sonic the Hedgehog RPG for Nintendo DS (Yeah I'm surprised as you)

Segatron Genesis... call me the wizard.
Sega announced Sonic RPG (tentative) for Nintendo DS, a new RPG featuring Sonic the Hedgehog and friends. The game is being developed by Canadian developer BioWare, and scheduled for a 2008 release.

If it worked for Mario...it can work for Sonic!

yea, just like 3D adventure games?

I'm talking RPG's...not just any RPG..but an RPG done by BioWare...you maybe fimilar with their work...Jade Empire...Baulder's Gate 1/2...Star Wars KOTOR...Neverwinter Nights...MDK 1 and 2...

Give Sonic a break, he's been treated like garbage for over 7 years because of those 3D games. I'm sick of those..but at least he can have some good games on DS.

Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 are two of my favorite games.

I'm really excited for this!

Being the resident Bioware fanboy, I think we all know what I will say about this.

EDIT: I've been following the official thread on this over at the Bioware forums and apparently a lot of people think this is a big step down for Bioware, but if Mario can make an RPG, Sonic and Bioware combined should be able to make one just as good.

Mario can also make the move to 3-D.

Okay, first off, this isn't developed by Sega, so what they can do with Sonic in 3-D doesn't matter. Secondly, Sonic actually had good 3-D games. The first two Sonic Adventure games were some of the best platformers out there (unfortunately that trend never continued) so Sonic having a bad history with 3-D games is pretty much a moot point.

Sonic rocks but now the games they r making sucks i mean sonic and the secret rings only has 7 levels and thats it... sonic is a great character but now he is a n00b (according to X-play)

Some things just don''t work in 3D, though.
