Segatron Genesis... call me the wizard.
I just finished it and I have to say, most impressive. It goes for the 2.5D and the 3D gameplay from time to time in the level. Normal Sonic mode is pretty insanely fast, but the demo won't let you play as the Werehog.

Overall, I'm a bit shocked this is surprisingly good. However, another Sonic side-kick has been added, named "Chip". Like Sonic needs anymore friends? The critics tore this a new one. I won't know until I see how the Werehog levels play like. The daytime levels are pretty solid imho.

well of course it won't let you play as a werehog.... i played it and i have to say that you get 15 minutes of paradise with running stages and 60 minutes of hell with werehog stages... simply annoyig, repetitive and just not fun >_> in my opinion the running stages are awesome but honestly if it wasn't for those werehog stages i would have loved this game.

I agree totaly even though i brought this game and i do like it, the werehog levels are annoying i wish there was a choice through out the whole game to do it either in the day as sonic or do its a night with werehog sonic.
 
I guess I have to wait until tomorrow to get the PSN demo, or rather wait until tis afternoon to pick up the game on the PS3.

This should be fun hopefully.
 
Wow, I really didn't think it would be that bad... :-\ I downloaded the demo the day it got put up, but I'm really not wanting to try this now... The werehog levels didn't look too bad in the gameplay videos.

Agreed. I'll be picking this up for the PS3 soon. I can't wait. Though the Werehog levels won't be the best thing ever, alot of people are making it out to be worse than what it is, because it's not traditional. I can't wait to try it though. :)
 
Heheh, I just got my copy from gamestop today. Unfortunately I have to study but I will most likely play it some time later tonight :)

I didnt know it used that Havok Engine, thats that same one that Brawl used for the characters as well, and it only requires 1MB of Hard Disk Space, lol.

i am not making it worse because it's not traditional (my favorite sonic game is sonic adventure 2 and all there is to it) is just that i think the levels are WAAAY too repetitive, it felt like playing dragon blade but with a werehog

I wasn't talking to anybody personally. Alot of Wii owners over at Gametrailers like it, so I'm going to give it a go-ahead. Probably this weekend. :)

my thoughts exactly.

i will rent this game and play it again though (even i have to admit the running levels are too amazing) or if one of my family members is smart enough i might get it for christmas
 
Ill start playing it later tonight. I heard the PS3 version feels much faster and is at higher framerate, so I will have to check into that when I play it tonight.
