I just got this today, and have not had a chance to play it yet, but I was wondering if anyone else had it, and if they enjoyed it or not. (hey, it was a topic I thought up...Go me!!!!!!)

I see that the cube version has Link in it.
 
Yes, the Gamecube houses the best version of Soulcalibur 2. For Link, and that's it. The PS2 probably is the worst one, because Heihachi (or however you spell it) sucks compared to Link and Spawn. Anyways, the game is great. I have it for Gamecube and was just playing it on my Wii at about 6:15 this morning before I ate breakfast. Capcom makes some killer games.

Okay, I have to totally disagree with that statement. All three versions are pretty equal save one character, which all comes down to a matter of personal favorites. Being a fan of the Tekken series, I totally dig that Heihachi and Yoshimitsu are present on my PS2 version. I usually use the girl with the wrist blades because she's so friggin' fast though.

The single player "weapon master" quest is annoyingly hard in areas (like the ones where you must beat 5 enemies in a row in 30 seconds), though I eventually beat the whole thing.

It is unfortunate, but getting a few cheap moves with 1-3 characters can pretty much take you through the single player game. In multiplayer, just watch out for button mashing newbies. ::D

Oh, and it's a NAMCO game, not Capcom.
 
I would actually rank the PS2 version as the best one because the PS2 controller lay-out works the best for fighting games.

Oh, and Heihachi was pretty damn cool for a guy with no weapon. :p
 
oh, one had Spawn in it. Cool!

I played some of the game today. It was really fun. Man, I love this.
 
I had the PS2 version. YAY!!!!!! as a quick question... what was/is your rank in Story Mode? I got 'Grand Edge Master of the Cerberus'. :D

The Cube had Link!!!!!! Rats! That would have been awsome playing as him. Oh well, Heihachi wasn't bad. I found it fun playing as him considering he has no weapons, just those arm gaurds, and everyone else does have a weapon.
Then again, he was at an advanatage for those who could master his 14 hit combo technique.

Mrs_Enigma, you'll enjoy this game for hours on end. I promise you on that. :D
 
Oh yes, the game is fun. No doubt about that. I wanna play the xbox version for Spawn. I had the PS2 version and I couldn't really get used to Heihachi but that's me. My favorite fighter right now though is DOA 4 for the 360. :D
 
This game is an awesome multiplayer game. It's one that my friends and I still pop in on occasion. If you've got 4-16 friends together and you're all at about the same skill level in this game the team battles you can have are awesome. It is easily the best fighting game I've ever played, and the only fighting game I've ever owned.
