At long last, Square-Enix fans can shut down their fansites, toss out their petitions, wrap up their fanfics, as the company has announced the game everyone has been demanding: Destiny's Child Groove. That's right, no Vagrant Story sequel for you. Forget about that next-gen Einhander game. You get a mobile dance game featuring Beyonce, Kelly Roland and Michelle Williams, known collectively as Destiny's Child.

In what Square-Enix producers are calling a "landmark project" and press releases headlines are promising to be a "groundbreaking dance battle game", players will be able to enjoy four R&B tracks from the group in rhythmic gameplay against AI characters.

At this point, no details on exactly how bootylicious the game for mobile devices will be, but we're estimating "too bootylicious."

No wonder Crystal Chronicles isn't a launch game for Wii. Squeenix was too busy making a deal with Destiny's Child. :sick

I call it "secondary entertainment." It's not the game that will be entertaining to the masses, but watching the player. Let your imagination run wild and you'll see what I mean. :D
 
Hiliarious. I don't know what's wrong with companies like Square-Enix, Capcom, Konami, etc. They keep making mistakes. Heck I heard a rumor that Mircosoft wants to buy CAPCOM. Now, I hear if NAMCO does not sell a certain amount of copies of Ridge Racer 7...it will sell itself to someone else??

Rumors perhaps, but scary/crazy talk imho.

Namco still has Tekken. If that fails then I can see them going to the highest bidder.

Most people are of the opinion that it was the Square side of the company that made the decision and that Enix would never do something so silly. *shrug* Who knows what really transpired.
