Starcraft 2?

Anyone read information on this yet? Is it going to come out?

If so.... please post up here.... Information..etc....

All I can say is that they better not make it like Warcraft 3 >:(

No one knows when Starcraft2 will be released because IT HASN'T EVEN BEEN ANNOUNCED! And even IF it was announced, Blizzard never gives a definite release date until their games go gold, which is about two weeks before the game hits stores. As soon as there is an official announcement that Starcraft 2 is being developed, I'm sure that Blizzard's website and every Blizzard fansite will have a mention of it.

The only facts about Starcraft 2 that we can confirm are:
1. Blizzard will be returning to the Starcraft universe at some time. This could that it is already in development, Blizzard is waiting for Armageddon to start development, or that development will start anywhere in between.
2. The storyline of Starcraft: Ghost takes place after Starcraft, and are quite possibly leading up to the events that will take place in starcraft 2

bummer on that..... its kind of annoying.... they better NOT SCREW THIS GAME UP OR I WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER BLIZZARD GAME.
They already screwed up War 3 (from War2)....

if my Starcraft gets messed.. I am done with them. and I am a big blizzard fan too.

Well, they can't really screw up a game they aren't making...........Although I am curious as to why they haven't started making one yet. They have had the time to at least start.


What about if Starcraft Ghost sucks? You leaving Blizzard? :p
(Scary thought-What if Starcraft Ghost IS the sequel? After all, sequels don't have to be in the same genre.......look at Alien and Aliens.)
 
I am not really looking forward to starcraft ghost actually. It doesn't interest me anymore.

I want starcraft 2... and if you think they have not started it.... there is something wrong :)

OF COURSE they have started it...whether it'll come into light is the question.

just whatever happens.... it cannot be like war3 :( :'(

I WANT them to make one.....but they do have other things in the works (World of Warcraft and Starcraft Ghost) that are probablly going to be finished before they start. After all, how many games aren't even announced until they are almost entirly done?
 
well... thats not in Blizzards case :lol

when they announce them.... they are never close to being done :lol
In my original Starcraft booklet (where they advertise other games)... they talked about Diablo 2. That was A LONG time before it actually came out.... or even before we started seeing screen shots of the game. :lol

Yeah, but at least Diablo 2 was announced then, unlike Starcraft 2. So basically, they announce games WAY before they are done? Not promising.
 
Yeah, because all we need is another blizzard game on battle.net so they'll patch the old games to make them suck and make people stop playing them to free up bandwidth for the newer games.

No thanks, I'll just play the copy of Starcraft that I already have. Ghost looks like it'll be cool, but I'm letting my roomie buy that. I'm not spendin' a cent on blizzard since Diablo II went downhill.
 
i believe that ghost is going to be amazingly brutal
you cant go from creating a large amount of troops to a first person
sure im gonna probably try it cuase ive got respect for starcraft and blizzard but im feeling like its gonna be a let down

I am not sure what to think of ghost. We've seen it now for 2 years and no game yet?

I know blizzard perfects before they release.... but I am curious as to how it will be... or if it will be any good.

first of all world of warcraft is making one thing M-O-N-E-Y

so they might Wait before they make starcraft two.

but when they do i say "bring it!"
 
Latest news? I don't know anything about StarCraft 2 (except that it's "unofficially announced" or something), but I did hear there's some guy who's making a StarCraft mod for Warcraft 3. The levels creatures are more or less done, so we can only hope. And while this isn't StarCraft 2, it can certainly help decrease the long, long, long, long wait. Just think StarCraft with the looks from WarCraft 3... One word: sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! :woot
 
starcraft ghost looks pretty lame :lol it will be like blizzards first, first person shooter game and all companies first, first person shooters game suck. please correct me if im wrong but its just what i think.
 
Actually, wasn't their first FPS Command & Conquer: Renegade? StarCraft: Ghost are their first 3d person game. But if it has the same amazing quality as Renegade, I don't even want to look at the box. Geez Renegade was bad. And I mean -bad- like Britney's version of "I love rock and roll". And that was.. well, I was at McDonalds, really hungry, got a major burger - and lost my appetite as soon as I hear her voice. Yuck! (although Joan Jett are a genius. But that could be why Britney really stink.)
 
Command & Conquer: Renegade was done by Westwood. I didn't think Renegade was that bad, and I even got online last Saturday to play it (massive lag, though, and Red Alert 2 is better :p).
 
But came to think about it, ever played Mercenaries? It's basically GTA set in North Korea during a war. But if you are already a mercenary, how would it be to play Tanya? Basically GTA: Red Alert or something? That would be sweet. (Cartman-sweet, not candy-sweet.) :D
 
Blizzard just mailed me the beta disk, it rocks.

Sorry, musta been sleep typing.......

Anyways, Command and Conquer Generals: Zero Hour is a good game to tide you over until SC2 comes out.
