When Darkstalkers Chronicle: The Chaos Tower first came out alongside the PSP, many gamers complained that it was difficult to pull off some of the game's special moves on the portable's control pad. For the Japanese release of Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max (Street Fighter Zero 3 Double Upper on the other side of the Pacific), Capcom included an adhesive D-pad cover with each copy of the game to address the issue. Those D-pad covers are heading West, as Capcom is now offering them as pre-order bonuses for anyone purchasing Alpha 3 Max from its official Web site. In the listing on its Web store, Capcom points out that the pad "will work on most console and handheld systems on the market." However, the D-pad is not an officially endorsed Sony product, and its permanent adhesive could potentially void the warranty on the system.

I'm sorry, but when I played Darkstalkers on PSP when I used to work at GameCrazy, I had no problems pulling off moves and supers.

I got the PSP version of Alpha 3 and it's basically a spot on port. I can't hit diagonals on my D-Pad, but the game is very playable with the analog stick (I can even do 360 motions which I can't do on a regular game) I'm considering doing the D-Pad mod that's floating around but I don't know if I want to risk damage to "White Lighting" at this point :) although I may want to do it for Darkstalkers down the road

:lol "White Lightening"  :D

AWwwwww.. you've named your PSP.

Mine isn't named... :lol

that's cool that this game is a spot on port..... I can't stand it when games stray from the original quality. If it improves the quality, that is cool.... but not reducing.

Bv :hat

Actually someone in the chat gave it that name. IIRC, it was Guitarwizard, but it was a while ago so I don't remember. And yeah, the game actually adds to the console versions with an extra character (plus the 3 that were in the GBA version so it has four extra characters total) plus a couple new modes. I'd actually say that except for a few issues with control on PSP, that it's the best version of Alpha 3 available (definitely better than the GBA version)

Street Fighter's great no matter what. Who's you're favorite character to use?

Mine's gotta be old school Ryu for sure.

Sagat's another one of my favorites.

I always liked setting up Ryu vs. Akuma cause they were basically the same, just one's evil and the other's not. 8)

My favorite depends on the game in question, but in general my favorite guys are Guile, Chun Li, Sagat and Bison. In the Alpha series, I also like Rose. In the PSP version of Alpha 3 I also like Zangief because I can actually use his 360 throws with the analog stick and crush fools

I remember in the original, I used to be so cheap and either use ( I forgot his name...the green guy with orange hair) the lightning attack...or chun li's fast kicking attack.
