Tales of Graces F coming to America and Europe!

MegaDrive20XX

Segatron Genesis... call me the wizard.
The same Wii game that was recalled due to bugs and glitches is coming back patched, fixed, and upgraded with bonus goodies to the PS3. Will be in Japan December 2nd. Don't forget Mai, PS3 has no region lock.

Re: Tales of Graces is being ported to PS3 with upgrades

That's cool. But I still can't read Japanese, for the most part. I would have to have my computer nearby to read the FAQ. :lol

BAM!! The upgraded edition is coming to America AND Europe!

They still haven't announced a date yet. :-\ I wonder if it's out in Europe yet? I could import that one and it would be in English. :p

I hope they bring Tales of Xillia over here as well.

I can't wait. The more I watch blast caliber videos of this game the longer the wait becomes for me.

Tales of Graces f for the PS3 is finally available for pre-order at Walmart.com and GameStop (in store only as of right now). Release date is in February I believe.

Some info on the game from its Wikipedia page. ^_^

The original ToG was on the Wii in Japan. The PS3 port adds additional content. The letter "F" in the name stands for "future". The game includes an additional epilogue which takes place six months after the end of the original story called "Lineage & Legacies" and will solve the remaining mysteries of the game featuring a script three quarters as long as the original story line and is said to be 10 hours long.

Battle system:
The battle system used for Tales of Graces is the "Style Shift Linear Motion Battle System" (SS-LiMBS). In this system, characters have two different fighting styles to choose from. The A-style artes are pre-determined, however you can set the B-style artes, and the player is able to freely switch between the styles in battle. The battle system is currently rated one of the best systems in the entire Tales history.

Characters are also able to sidestep in a 360 degree circle around the enemy as well as Free Run. "Blast Calibers", as used in the Tales of Destiny (PS2) remake, make a return in Tales of Graces.

In battle, players attack using the Chain Capacity point system used in the Tales of Destiny (PS2) remake. The free run maneuver which originated in Tales of the Abyss is renewed in this game, but it is limited by Chain Capacity points.

Plot
Tales of Graces takes place on a planet known as Efinea. The people of Efinea use a substance called Arles which is composed of another substance called Cryas which has allowed civilizations on the planet to flourish. On Efinea there are three kingdoms—Windol, Strata, and Fendel—who are competing for dominance of the planet.

In the remote region of Windol lies the city of Lhant. The eldest son of the feudal lord Aston, Asbel, is a bright and cheerful boy who spent his childhood like any other carefree boy does: enjoying everyday together with his irreplaceable friends. After a certain incident awoke a new desire in Asbel, he decided to enlist himself in a knight's academy in the capital in order to gain the power to protect others.

Graces takes place seven years after the incident. In his eighth year, Asbel has grown up and established himself as a fine knight. However, at the death of his father, Aston, he gives up his dream to become a knight and takes over his father's position of a feudal lord.

Reviews:
The PS3 version of the game scored one point higher (than the Wii version), resulting in a 37/40 (10/9/9/9). This marks the highest score that a Tales series title has received from Famitsu magazine to date

And finally, a video from TGS 2010 with gameplay! Here.

This is the game I have been waiting for on my PS3!! :drool

The official release date is now March 13. I'm a little bummed that it comes out right after Mass Effect 3, though, because that means I might not be able to play it right away. :-\

It comes out dangerously close to many other games =/ it might get overshadowed. however I will put my full attention to it once it is out =3.

Finally better late than never. I managed to preorder it when it was $39.99 at AMZN. Tales of the Abyss in February and then this in March, and a Mass Effect in Between, and Final Fantasy in January, so much JPN and RPG goodness. Oh well Im getting about 14 other games during the time, I will probably prioritise this and Tales of the Abyss to get through first (but after Mass Effect 3).

I want the Code Geass costumes.

So did anyone else end up picking this up besides me? I got it the day it came out but I waited until I finished Mass Effect 3 to actually play it so I only started on it like a week ago. But it's really amazing so far. Another great addition to the Tales series!

You know I picked it up XD. I am playing through the game on hard and DANG!. this is one of the hardest tales games I've played, almost as hard as innocence. But I LOVE how it rewards careful and thoughtful play with more CC for your combos.

The plot doesn't pull any punches either starting with a twist early on.

Yeah, no kidding!

Is it just me or are the bosses kind of inconsistent in difficulty, though? I don't know how far you are so I'm going to post under a warning, since I'm about 28 hours in.

I had a hard time against Kurt, and then had no trouble beating Richard on the World's Eye. I also had a really hard time with that stupid boar on the mountain before you get to the Amarcian place. But Fourier's monster was no problem. I also couldn't beat Hubert near the well, and it took me three tries to beat Sophie when she asked to fight with me. It's so hard to tell whether I'm underleveled or if the bosses are just hard.
