Shonen Jump will preview a brand new Tales RPG game from Namco Bandai in the upcoming issue, which is due end of the week.

Bet your bottom dollar, you better tune into this thread when it hits. I'm pointing at you Mai ;)

Namco Bandai announced Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon X for PSP, the sequel to Tales of Phantasia with elements from the Tales of the World: Narikiri Dungeon series, the game will be out in Japan this year.

Oh and it includes a FULL port of Tales of Phantasia X from the PS2 to add more fire to the flames of MEGA-AWESOME! :D
 
Namco needs to move and start releasing these games in america... Tales of graces, tales of vesperia (PS3) and tales of vs need to be released here ASAP

Here are some images of Namco Bandai's PSP RPG Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon X, the game is a remake of Tales of Phantasia Narikiri Dungeon from year 2000. The PSP remake will have a new combat system called "Cross Arts Aerial Linear Motion Battle System" (XAR-LMBS), which combines Emotion System and Aerial Combos System from Tales of Hearts and Tales of Destiny. The two protagonists are twins Mel and Dio who originally live in the fairy ethos, in the game you can obtain a variety of costumes, each one allows them to assume specific jobs such as hunter, knight, fighter and summoner. Japanese singer Hanako Oku will perform the theme song called Glass Flowers.

Also include in the game is Tales of Phantasia Full Voice Edition, which is a port of the PS2 game from 2006.

Very nice... I hope they release it here in the US (not probable) or that someone makes a translation guide or something XD

Both remakes will adopt the Cross Arts Aerial Linear Motion Battle System (XAR-LMBS), featuring 2D characters and 3D environment. You can use different equipment and abilities by changing costumes, there are over 80 costumes available.
 
Namco Bandai announced a playable demo of Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon X for PSP will be available on PSN on July 8. The game will be out on August 5, 2010.

Demo kiddies :D! I know what I'll be downloading ;)
 
So it's like Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology? I found that game rather disappointing.

Instead of giving us those, I wish they'd translate the REAL games, like Tales of Rebirth.
