Tales of Vs. (Screen shots and details)

Namco Bandai announced Tales of VS for PSP, a new 3D versus action fighting game featuring characters from the Tales series. The game supports up to 4 players over Wi-Fi connection. The confirmed characters include:

* Yuri (Tales of Vesperia)
* Luke (Tales of the Abyss)
* Shing (Tales of Hearts)
* Rihita (Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World)
 
Rihita? boy good thing they changed his name to Richter in the english dub :lol

maybe, but even Dissidia was considered a super smash bros rip-off (stupid internet) besides as i proved in another thread, Namco had this idea in mind a long time ago (in the lemon gumi show).... this one supports 4 players and hopefully the motion battle system from Tales of Symphonia dawn of the new world and tales of vesperia

if they added richter, they better Add Emil and Marta... those 2 became my favorite characters (they are the ones i can relate to the most)

and if they add Luke they MUST add my TOP 1 FAVORITE CHARACTER XD...... Jade Curtiss =D

Lol stupid internet is right. If they're going by that logic, Smash Bros was a rip-off of Ehrgeiz.

actually that one only had cross-over characters from Final fantasy 7.. it was not meant to be a "series cross-over" game like smash bros, dissidia or in this case Tales of Vs...

woah... slow down there, i was just stating a fact... i said the internet is stupid when they say dissidia is a smash rip-off because "series cross overs" is something that could technically be called a Genre now... specially with games like king of fighters, marvel VS capcom, heck in fact square-enix already did an specific final fantasy cross over series with chocobo racing for the ps1 (one of my favorite ps1 games and my favorite racing game XD)... my last post was just separating ehrgeiz from these last examples because it just had characters from the FF7 universe the original arcade version didn't have these characters....

personally i take all three any day (smash bros, dissida and tales of VS) :lol :lol :lol even if i enjoy smash bros the most

But nah, I agree. Cross over games have been done for a while. And a cross over game is the reason I'm getting a PSP.

New screen shots and Details

Here are some new images of Namco Bandai's PSP four player action fighting game Tales of VS, the game will have 35 playable characters from the Tales series, including Yuri Lowell (Vesperia), Richter Abend (Symphonia Dawn of Knight), Luke Fone Fabre (Abyss), Stan Aileron (Destiny), Kratos Aurion (Symphonia), Anise Tatlin (Abyss), Mighty Kongman (Destiny).

The game will use a 2D Linear Motion Battle System, the concept of vertical walls and combos will be used. The Japanese pop team Girl Next Door will perform the theme song of the game.

@GM, no Sheena yet, but 35 characters could lead to that possibility :)
