Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada mentioned at The Legend of Tekken conference in Madrid, that Tekken 7 is in development.

I bought Tekken 6. After playing through the Arcade and the very, very, VERY sadly realized Campaign Scenario Mode, I returned it just a couple short hours later. I never want to play another Tekken game again. 4 was the last good one, IMO.

that's kind of a stretch... I think 3 was the last good one (also IMO)
 
Ok Campaign Scenario Mode was awful but if you get fighters to play for the single player/arcade mode and not to play against other players then you are wasting your money.

problem is no one i know wants to bother with its multiplayer (including myself) so I would be really wasting my money if i bought it for either reason.

not to mention, although most fighters don't have an elaborated single player mode there are some exceptions like blazblue and melty blood, I actually got to enjoy the story mode of those games as much as the multiplayer. Same for soul calibur and its weapon master mode. (and i did enjoy brawl's SSE but that is just me)

so if they tried they could actually make a worthwhile single player and multiplayer experience... though at this point i doubt the tekken series can do that
 
If they would have kept the story of Tekken 6 like the previous Tekken releases and just got rid of Campaign, the Single Player would have been fine.

Offline multiplayer Tekken is fine. Idk what they did between Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection to Tekken 6 but it made online horrendous. Tekken is also a series where lag is a big issue, all combos are based on frames, if they make the online better in 7 it has the potential to be great.
