That Sucks

I do not know. I guess they are about what I expected. I mean, no system could ever be as good as a n64, so......

:D

I was disappointed with the PS3 price. I mean, at least it wasn't the estimated $1000, but still, every time it goes down, they stop making the model that's $100 cheaper.

i am a little dissapopinted with the wiis selection of games. i only really want 1 or 2 minigame collections, not 1200. i guess its just different then i was expecting.

There wasn't much about the actual systems that has left me disappointed, but I expected a bit more from the games themselves. Don't get me wrong, this generation has been great for games but I thought this generation, we would actually see a living breathing world that reacted realistically to what you did. Instead, we get games like Oblivion which are a tons of fun, but do a terrible job of immersing you in the game.

Maybe it's because I don't have a hi-def TV yet, but I'm not noticing much of an improvement over Xbox 1. Not $350 worth, anyway. And the game designers seem to have become infatuated with tiny text, which is, perhaps, an industry incentive to upgrade to hi-def, but no matter what your resolution is it's still way too small too read comfortably from across the living room. Most of us aren't hunkered over monitors while playing console games, you know.

i'm like cherry and mai... not dissapointed at all except for little things

Agreed. Video games still feel like games. The technology is there to really break out of that mold, but no one seems to be able to do it, or is even willing to try.

I was disappointed with how Sony markets the PS3 and it's lack of backwards computability and exclusive titles that I care about. With the 360 I'm disappointed with the fact that they haven't been very reliable. The only think I've been disappointed with the Wii on is lack of supply.

Agreed on the Oblivion thing. Sure, the game is pretty as hell, but somehow "ugly" old Morrowind does a much better job of making the player feel immersed. Just goes to show that graphics do not mean squat, but, a lot of people don't seem to understand that. They think the only way to get immersed in a game is to have the best graphics possible, which is just plain wrong.

I have to disagree. It won't be there for a while. Probably not even in the next generation. Although the Euphoria engine is helping bridge the gap a little.

I don't see the problem there, considering you have to buy about none of them.

and the ones you need to buy come for free with the game *looks at wii wheel*
