The Phantom - what the heck was it??

I was reading an old EGM and they mentioned a vaporware console known as The Phantom that was meant to be a competitor against Xbox 360 and PS3.

Does anyone know anything about this mythical console?

So... kind of like a computer with 1% of an actual computer's functionality.

How could people not think that sounds awesome??
 
It would have sold decent, if it had existed...

It ws supposed to be PC gaming without all the hassle. It would have been pwned in its crib by MS, Sony, and Nintendo anyways.
