The Village

Ah... M. Night Shyamalan, I really do love you. You have joined the ranks of my style directors, along side Quentin Tarantino and Tim Burton. You have such a way with movies that no other person does, and your movies are easily reconizable as your own. Your first movie, the Sixth Sense was over rated, but still ok. Unbreakable is one of my favrite movies of all time, you came into your own in this movie, and it was perfect for me. After this movie, everyone now knew what to expect from you and the rest of your movies, a slight thriller with a lot of myserty thrown in with a big shock at the end. Then you make Signs. Nothing wrong here with it, but for some reason a lot of people didn't like it, I won't go into thier un-just reasons.

Now you have realsed the Village.

I'll just go ahead and and say I really liked this movie. But guys, if you didn't like he's other movies your are NOT going to like this one. It follows in the same veins as all the others. A really big thriller, mystery, with a huge shock at the end. Love it or hate it, this is what your going to find in this movie. The acting was ok all around, and it had some wonderful people. Everynow and then things seemed unnecsary for the movie, and many ideas were left behind during the making of this movie. Leaving you wondering what the hell happend.

I already know people are going to hate this movie, a lot of people. Go ahead and post and then I'll give reasons...

I dont really care for scary movies like that, unless they are kinda fantasy like...

Wonder what the shock at the end is.

I've heard more bad then good for this, and I generally stay away from horror/mystery unless it's going to scare me and make me think...which nothing really does anymore. I loved the Sixth Sense though, so maybe a rental.

I generally hate horror/spooky/creepy movies, but man, when I watched Signs, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. I thought the end was really gay, I'd rather not have seen the aliens, kinda ruined the mystery, but everything that led up to that was pure suspense. I also liked Unbreakable, but in a different way. Of course, I am totally psyched for The Village, I'm even planning on going to the theatre for it, which I haven't done for any of his previous movies.

I also love Quentin and Tim. I don't care what those guys make as long as it's made by them.
