oh it's like the pikachu of the dragon quest series (kind of like a mascot) a slime, you see those often in the beginning of most of the DQ games and its variations throughout the game.

well the ones were you use them like pokemon is dragon quest monster joker and the other games whre you fight against them are just dragon quest

Im assuming you go around using "Rock Crush" and "Travel" but who could forget, "Slice Tree".
