There's a lost baby rabbit in my backyard!

Segatron Genesis... call me the wizard.
We found the little guy on the back porch and we're thinking that the mother abandoned the little fella. What can we feed for this poor lost baby rabbit? He keeps searching for food. I know the pictures aren't good quality, since I didn't want to scare him.

Bunny food pellets and greens .... If he's wild he might not know what bunny food is, but he'd probably take a bite and find out that it's good.

Throw some vegetables by the door. If you have some sort of cage thing, you can put it up to the door and try to lure him in with food and take him to a shelter.

If it's still too young for solids, I say catch it and feed it baby formula. It it's old enough for solids, your grass should be enough for it. I wouldn't recommend feeding it unless you are going to catch it, because feeding a rabbit can attract the rest of the food chain. If you know what I mean.

Tricky, cuz caging wild rabbits often sends them into shock and can kill them (sad lessons learned long ago) but he looks big enough to eat on his own. If you're in a drought area you could put out some water, though, won't hurt a thing.

=D You got a picture of him! He's cute, but you really shouldn't try to feed him unless you notice him getting really skinny and you don't see anything being eaten.

I'm not so sure you should feed him,he might become dependent on you.

I dunno what the store would be called near you...but here it is called Fleet Farm and sells farm stuff..or I bet a pet store would work too..If he still needs to nurse you need a teeny bottle you have to get a pet store or farm supply store and they sell formula there too for small animals.

Otherwise, grass is what he needs and he has lots of that. And water. :)

Cute bunny!

At most, he'd become dependent on you if you directly fed him, which won't happen.
