Anyone know how much I could get if I trade in an xbox, 2 controllers and 9 games? I have never really traded in games before, so I have no idea. I dont even know if you can trade in this stuff.
 
I believe it's like $40 for an Xbox.

All that stuff is trade-in capable. But they have to all work; they test them. :) Although my friend sold him shorted-out Xbox controller and they took it. xD!

The games depend on the rarity of the game.
 
Gamestop actually pays well for used stuff, at least the local one here does. I got around $60 for my Xbox and for most games I got around 2-18 bucks. Crap games like Clone wars/tetris worlds or sports games will only get about $1 though. The games they gave me the most money for were GBA games.

P.S. You get more with a trade in if you ask for store credit over cash.
 
Every time I go into a Game Stop or EB Games and see someone come in to trade stuff, it seems that they get shafted. It's sometimes sad...
 
If you're getting store credit to use towards a new system tell them that, then they'll give you a really good deal. :D

Also check with BV first, just cuz he's good for stuff like that.
 
GameStop is $50 store credit, $40 for cash on XBOX system trade-ins. EB is owned by GameStop now and would most likely offer the same prices.

As for the games, it depends on the game.

But we are doing a number of trade-in deals.

If you trade towards a pre-order of an upcoming game, you get an extra 10%. That's a deal that we always offer.

If you trade in towards a reservation of Godfather, you get 20%. Of course, that deal ends tomorrow since Godfather comes out the next day.

If you trade in towards the purchase of XBOX 360 games or accessories, you get 20%. I believe that deal ends Tuesday as well.

And finally, if you have a Game Informer card, you can get 10% on all trade-ins.
