So I've recently started up a brand new game of Final Fantasy VIII out of wanting something to play until Christmas. I've played through and beat this game a couple of times now, but I always skipped on playing the game's minigame, Triple Triad, because I found it too confusing and trying to understand the tutorial would make my head hurt. However, this time I decided to really put everything into trying to get my brain around it and figure it out once and for all, which, after a couple of hours skimming through online tutorials, I achieved.
This has to be the greatest minigame in any RPG that I've played. Before this, FF IX's Tetra Master held that title, but this is now miles better. I don't even care about beating the game that much now, I just want to try and collect every single card in the game.
It's crazy how addicting it gets and the many different rules add a level of strategy that no other minigame has provided. I'm only in Timber (early into the game in other words) but I already have an impressive collection built up and the bartender in the pub has given me some intense matches.
To anyone that hasn't tried it out, I suggest doing so. If you don't own Final Fantasy VIII, you can play it against real people at www.ttadvance.ca Infact I reccomend the website anyway because it has loads of cards from different Final Fantasy and other RPG games.
To anyone that has played it, how easy is it get every single card?
