I can't initiate setup on it. It says something like not enough free memory.

However, I managed to launch the game anyways by clicking on the shortcut thingy, and it worked fine. Kinda. Nice frame rate, but the graphics were all red and green, there was no speech (background noises, enemy noises, and gunshots were all there). Also, instead of text, all things (such as menu options) were str_00000### something like that (with ### being different numbers)

Can anyone help me with this? Launching setup to install the game properly, that is.

How much memory do you have? can you do MSconfig and disable some startup things that take the memory?

Do you have anything in the tray you can close out of to enable more free memory?

Last, can you buy more memory to upgrade?

I can buy more memory, but I don't exactly know what to buy. I have 512 MB of RAM that came with the PC. What should I buy to upgrade it? And I don't know if it is relevant or not, but msiexec.exe takes up 50% of the CPU according to my task list.

*edit*

Now its working, I'll keep you posted... But I'd still like to know about RAM. Does buying another 512 stick give me 1 gig, or what?

I'd like to have 1 gig total.
