Tubes

I want all guitar players who have tube amps to give me some opinions of different 12AX7's,and 6L6's by brand(I am not pleased with the Groovetubes)...post up!
 
I know BV likes to shred some cords every one in awhile, and if I recall there were a couple other members here that played guitar. Not sure where they are right now...
 
tubes... :lol I use groove tubes.

6L6 b's... have you tried those? Althought Groove Tubes just rebrands.... my Bluevoodoo 120 watt head sounds SUPERB with them. I've never heard Groove Tubes sound so good though.... These are some nice tubes that I got. The guitar store guy told me they burned hotter.... and gave a superb sound. he wasn't lying.... I believe they are 6L6B's.... They've been in my amp since 1998-99. Thank God (literally) I haven't had to buy another quartet.

I use the Groove Tubes 12AX7's as well.

I think grindspine uses a different variation... I believe he has old GE tubes... or something like that for part of his.

@ stealth... yeah, I love to shred.... just not enough time to play more than 3-6 hours per month anymore. It is sad... I used to play that much per day. :'( such is life. Instead... I am busting my butt for you guys to keep this site going :lol :D

I have GT6L6R's in my amp right now...I think I will get the GT6L6GE's...they are the only tubes that GT actually makes themselves
As for preamp tubes,I have decided to go with a GT SAG FST kit.
