Calling all aspiring game designers. Epic just released their UDK, powered by Unreal Engine 3, for free to the General Public.

It's free as long as your work is non-commercial. Otherwise, you will have to apply for a license and/or a royalty contract.

Thanks. I had to share this information. :)

As for what you can do. Maybe start out modding some games or just do some basic level editing.
