Use of Energy Sheilds in Halo

>:( I envy the Jackels that get to run about playing with their fancy Energy Sheilds. I think it's about ime that we got the chance to use it against them! Though the sheild is useless to an extent against a trained player. I still think that the thought of combining it with a Energy Sword is a great idea. Especially after the last bit of sword play I had with my mates.
When you go in sword to sword it goes by the first to strike. But if you could dual wield it with Energy Sheild then thats something different. You could parry the attack and then give them a taste of their own medicine.
Or say that your doing a capture the flag. Your flag may be at an edvantage from the entrance points. If you had energy sheilds, your temamtes could take the main force of the attakers and push them back with whatever they can weild with it. 8)

second.....about the shield

i think if you have a sword in multiplayer and your playing in a small map and you have a shield, you will absolutely slaughter everyone......in larger maps the sword is mostly pointless, but i suppose it would make it more usable if you had a shield and sword in a larger map
 
How big would the shields be? If you were using it could people shoot around it and still hit you? If you were just carrying it would it still block or would you have to specifically "use" it for it to block shots? Would it have a limit of shots it would take before breaking?

I think if done properly it could be a lot of fun, but it really changes the dynamic, and part of the fun of Halo is that there really is no way to play "defensively" (well, there's nothing that specifically encourages it at any rate) which keeps up the frantic pace that we've all come to enjoy. I think shields would have to be really limited if they were to be added in while still keeping the game as fast-paced as it is.
 
If you are Dual Wielding it with the sword, that would make sword mode more fun. Since you're dual wielding it you have to press left Trigger to block.

and in multiplayer

to dual weild snipers you could have the left analog stick for the left sniper
and the right analog stick for the right sniper. Or split the inbuilt zoom in the
cheifs visor and split it into two screens 8) :o
 
having dual shotguns would take forever to reload

If I wasn't such a bad shot with the rocket/fuel rod gun it would be cool

I think the biggest combo some people want to see is Jackel Shield/Plasma Sword
