Valkyria Chronicles 3 Announced!

MegaDrive20XX

Segatron Genesis... call me the wizard.
Yet why did I post it in the PS3 section? Mainly because I have a strong feeling about it. If not, I'll just move it.

Re: Valkryia Chronicles next project revealed on Sept 16th.

honestly i hope it stays on the PSP since in my opinion a series that is separated into missions like this fits like a ring in a portable system. so if this is valkyria chronicles 3 for the PSP i will be more than happy...

Seriously people just because it does not look as good does not mean it is lesser... specially considering how much deeper the PSP version is compared to the PS3 version

I can only take portable gaming in small doses. I would prefer VC on console over handheld any day.

well i guess it depends on the person but since i can play both handled and console for the same amount of time, it makes no difference to me

Darn, I think this is the first time I have to disagree with Zidart...I hope its on the PS3 as well. I like the PSP setup for it and such, but I think the series should return to the PS3. The game had a great art style that needs to be exhibited in HD, and if they implement the changes made to the PSP in terms of gameplay to the PS3, then the game could be excellent indeed

In what has become one of our favorite annual traditions, Japanese mag Famitsu has already begun unfurling announcements intended for the Tokyo Game Show, which kicks off this Thursday, September 16. Sega already revealed Valkyria Chronicles 3 (inadvertently), and Famitsu has confirmed it as a retail and downloadable PSP game set to debut in Japan on January 27, 2011.

According to an Andriasang translation, Valkyria Chronicles 3 will be set in the same time period as the original PlayStation 3 game, but will follow a new cast of characters and a group dubbed "The Nameless." That's ... their name.

Sega of America has yet to announce an English version of this strategy RPG, possibly because the higher-ups in the company haven't read the latest Famitsu yet.

YAY it is for the psp. I honestly think that is where this series needs to stay

I don't mind wherever it goes. I do wish it were on the PS3 though. Seems too shallow on the PSP to me. But then again, that's just what I've been hearing from reviewers and such.

Really? from what i heard and played it is the complete opposite, it seems that the only downgrade was the obvious graphical one and a shift from a more serious story to a more light hearted one, everything else from what reviewers point out has been upgraded gameplaywise and units have been balanced out.

Not to mention everything is divided into chunks with makes it an optimal portable experience.
