I finally played Viewtiful Joe 2 yesterday. It's very enjoyable, much like the first one. The use of the effects is still just as fun. I also really like the addition of Silvia. When you start out, she only has one gun, but I already upgraded her so that she can dual-wield. :D Silvia shoots intead of punching (although she can do uppercuts).

Anyway, if you liked the first VJ, you'll definitely like VJ2.
 
Personally I really like the addition of Silvia. That, to me, makes VJ2 worthwhile. Plus, the Six Machine has a bunch of additional features.

But other than that, I've heard that VJ2 is pretty similar to the first. They even share some bosses.

If you think having Silvia is worth it, go for VJ2. Otherwise, I would wait for a price drop, or rent it first.
 
VJ2 was pretty easy. Took me 2 days to finish it (Excluding Rainbow V's and the 36 Chambers)

so ... just curious.. anyone else like this game? There doesn't seem to be NEAR as many comments on this as compared to VJ1...

was this game not as popular?

It sad this game and its predecessor don't get the attention they deserve.Just because the game looks like it was made for kids, made not that many people buy it. Has anyone even seen the first VJ it was very sexually suggestive, definitely not meant for children. :-X
