Wario Land returns to Wii!

MegaDrive20XX

Segatron Genesis... call me the wizard.
Entitled: "Wario Land Shake"

Nintendo of Japan has rolled out its schedule for the summer session, dropping a few surprises along the way. First, Wario Land will graduate from handheld to console with Wario Land Shake for Wii on July 24. No further details have been given, so it's up to each of us to pray, dance, sacrifice some virgins (or whatever!) so that "Shake" doesn't end up an inept deviation from the mostly excellent Game Boy predecessors. Thankfully, DS owners will be served a far more promising sequel in Rhythm Tengoku Gold, arriving July 31 from the capable hands of Nintendo R&D1 (you know, the WarioWare team). Here are some highlights from the release date calendar:

June 19: Mario Super Sluggers (Wii)
June 26: Band Brothers DX (DS)
July 10: Resident Evil Zero (Wii)
July 24: Wario Land Shake (Wii)
July 31: Fatal Frame IV: The Mask of the Lunar Eclipse (Wii)

July 31: Rhythm Tengoku Gold (DS)

August 7: Fire Emblem DS (DS)

Plus, I hope to snag some FIRE EMBLEM DS screen shots for you guys.

I'm guessing the gimmick of this game is that you SHAKE the Wiimote a lot.

*sigh*

My thoughts exactly.

Zelda: Legend of the Wiimote
Super Mario and the Tale of Waggle
Donkey Kong Bongo: Shake Edition

I can just see those coming up next.

well we are talking about wario XD it might be something funny, seriously i still go LOL when i hear "it's a wii wario wahahaha"

Wario Land 4 was one of my favorite GBA games. I'll definitely be keeping my eyes on this one. Waggling or no, the series has always been fun.

It's the main hook of the entire system. I don't see why they shouldn't put it in games. I mean, why even have motion-sensitivity if you're hit with a barrage of criticism just for using it.

Last I checked, we've already had a Mario game that was great and a Zelda game that didn't abuse waggle.

And why have an opinion when you're hit with a barrage of criticism just for having one? ::)

That's why I said "next".

i doubt that, nintendo know exactly how to not abuse of the motions, only game that abused them was warioware smooth moves but is kinda obvious XD.
and anyway, the name of the next warioland is not the issue, the important thing is that the game is good. (besides zak and wiki is a bad name but is still a great game with good use of motions )

God forbid Nintendo do something different.

They've been doing something different for quite a while now. Infact, it's more of a suprise if they do something traditional. :lol

I still love the big N for the most part though, just saying.

I never said anything about your opinion so I'm kind of confused about where you were going with that.

That is me expressing my opinion, which you responded to with sarcasm in your next post. Does that clear things up a bit?

Mm...not at all. Buuuut...whatever makes your tummy tickle. :)

The "shake" and "waggle" are the only reason why my friends aren't buying the Wii and why it took me a while to find a buyer. Of course this is their opinions, and not yours. ;)

No. That's a gift. Too bad Microsoft and Sony don't take advantage of it.

*looks at haze*

what is wrong with the shake and waggle? are they afaraid to be doing that in public?

Nah. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is probably the best use of motion-sensing in a game I've seen thus far, and it's out for the PS3. They only use it in parts that are necessary and fun.

Exactly. If they would do that more often with games (except for Lair, good Lord...), then it'd be a lot better market.
