well... sig wise..... they are disabled as they are in the other forums as well.

for loading/content reasons...etc... I doubt I will allow sigs

well... it really does pose a problem.... especially for dial up users.

at the ezboards, it really took a performance hit loading all the sig images...etc... even on my cable modem it was slow.
That is why I decided to ban them.

Another reason is that people can put virus scripts in them as well.

No wonder my computer slows down loading most ezboards, I have dial up. Nasty old viruses...*mutter curses under breath*

ezboard is just slow in general..... that is a big reason why I want to move.

I just am getting tired of the place...... being down... slow loads.... limited message storage..etc.
Its just getting old. IF the message storage was unlimited, I would most likely stay and hold out on the loads.

hey pliknon!

the post storage limit was 20 pages of topics per forum.... after that, they get erased.
SO..... in essence our history...etc... would be erased unless I kept taking older posts and putting them into the recycled forums.
I already have 3 of those.

I want to see if I can get this converter working 1st.

I have to convert EZ to phpbb then phpbb to SMF

I'll give the official ok in 7-14 days if I cannot get the converter running.

you can post on both for now.

Once the conversion is done..... then I'll close the topics...etc.

the ezboard will stay up until this is fully ready to go. Then all the forum will be "read only" and locked down so no more posts are allowed... and linking will be put to here :)

We got 2 new people in like the past half hour. Anonymous and Mega Aprodite just joined today. So I wanted to bump this thread and welcome them here.
