What Do You Do With The Games You've Beaten?

The games I beat usually end up being sold or traded in,unless the replay value is good. Now that I've beaten "FF VIII" I can't foresee myself ever playing it again. When I beat "FF VIII",I did damn near every side quest, got every GF,junctioned the best possible spells to pump my stats, upgraded my characters weapons to the max, maxed out my characters levelage.Looking back now,I'm glad retro turned down my trade offer with this title. Now I can keep it because around here it's hard to find.Replay value carries a lot of weight with me.

Godspeed.

Re: What Do You Do With The Games You Absolutely Maxed Out And Beat?

either keep them there to be replayed for nostalgic sake a few years later... or if they don't hold any emotional value i sell them.... for example i am beating Majora's mask again

This, exactly. And you gotta figure, if you don't play the game for 3-4 years, by the time you play it again you will have forgotten a lot of it.

That's true x2,especially with rpg's.Look at "Star Ocean:The Second Story" for the PS1.It had 99 different endings for Christ's sake. They should give games like that to those poor souls who are on "Death Row".Seriously.

People on death row are not poor souls, but yes I see your point ;)

I consider myself to be a pretty compassionate person.I take no joy in knowing that a man or woman is doomed to die.But on the other hand,if it were some guy that killed a loved one, maybe I'd think differently.

*looks at Dark Cloud* Buy another copy, in case something happens to the first one. ^_^

After I beat a game,if there is no replay value I usually trade them in to help with buying the next game.

Video games did not exist during my childhood. So my gaming time was mainly spent playing boardgames. Monopoly into the wee hours of the night? Purchasing and owning everyone, even the bank? Yeah, something like that. Chinese checkers, Chess, etc. I did not get rid of any, of those games, whenever I beat them. When I tired of one game I usually put it away and played another one. When the mood struck, I would pull out that old one I had fun with, and play it again.

That same perspective and attitude has carried over into my video gaming years. I guess that is why I can be such a dedicated retro gamer. What was fun then can be pulled out, time and time again, and find it fun again. I am very careful about what I purchase, picking and choosing things that I know I will like. So I rarely pick up a game that is a dud. I learned the hard way, way back, whenever I first purchased the Atari Jaguar. Checkered Flag for the Jag still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I still have the game for collection purposes and have pulled it out after all these years just to make sure I didn't just dream it up. Still stinks, hasn't improved at all. :lol

A good game that is fun to play, will always be fun to play. A general rule, as gamer, that I live by.

Do You Keep The Games You Beat,Or Trade Them In?

It depends on one thing, and one thing only with me."Replay Value".If I beat a game that has excellent replay value I'm less inclined to get rid of it.

Godspeed.

As I've said the last couple time you asked this Kaz, I keep them.
