They really have no idea of what they're talking about. They gave DOA Beach Volleyball for the Xbox like an 8 and an 8.5 out of 10, but they only gave Animal Crossing like a 4 out of 10. They even compared it to Animal Crossing saying it took that idea but added in hot chicks. And after stating that they later said one of the pros of the game was it's "unique concept" even though earlier they had said it just stole the Animal Crossing concept (buying stuff for your character, sending presents to other characters, etc) which they hated.

Figure that one out...

Stupid hypocrits......what's sold the most after SSB:M, Animal Crossing? Or Zelda: WW? Or maybe Mario Sunshine....

It must be the chicks...

Whoa, didn't see that coming. You think its a chick's fault for Animal Crossing and SSB:M to get bad ratings? I can't see a chick giving DOA: Xtreme Beach Volleyball a good score though.....

It was sarcasm, though very feint...

Normally I can tolerate their ignorance, but when they had their E3 2004 special I changed the channel in disgust. It was obvious they didn't take any time to look around the Nintendo booth or go to the press conference. They basically said Nintendo was coming out with more rehashes and some stuff looked cool like Metroid Prime and RE4 but still not that good. Then they said the games for the DS sucked (even though most of them were only demos) and they talked about how PSP games were way better (though none of them were playable). They also talked about every single game coming out for the Xbox claiming they were all innovative and exciting (even though they were almost all FPS's) and then they said Donkey Kong Jungle Beat was neat but gimmicky. They even just slightly mentioned that a new Zelda with realistic graphics was in the works, they just didn't have a clue as to how big an announcement it was.

They just didn't take any time to find out about what the hell they were talking about, which is really dissapointing because that's their job. It wasn't a fair representation of the Nintendo booth by any stretch of the imagination.

Yeah, that's why I usually look to GI or EGM to get a good all around review, they seem to be a bit more unbiased and well researched.
