I just got a DS lite, what should I get? I know about a few that are suppose to be cool. I am an aficionado of weird and I want to some cool stuff to play that works well with the sylus and at least one with really cool with online play.

Mario Bros.
Phoenix Wright
Trauma Center
Meteos
Bomberman DS is really grand if you like Bomberman and have at least 4 local people to play with.
Kirby Canvas Curse (great stylus game)
Brain Age
Feel the Magic
Polarium is actually quite good if you're in to real puzzles, not puzzle games.
Tetris
Trace Memory

I just got Brain Age today. I saw Trace Memory and almost got it, tell me about that one. Also I would like to know about Trauma Center too.

Trace Memory is akin to older point and click adventure games, such as King's Quest or Quest for Glory. Though it features a little more updates of an interface and less.. er.. exploring, I'd say. It feels less grand, because it takes place on a smaller scale, but I think that's because the focus of the game was the storyline, thus it is more linear. Though it's quite enjoyable, one of my favorite games for DS.

I'm interested in the story and such, but my girlfriend has also played it (note: she played through it 4 times - more than me). She states that the puzzles are "very intricate" and that they are also very intuitive. She also says "it's pretty and I like the story".

So there you have it, *shrug*. Buy Trace Memory immediately, or face consequences!! We'll internet-stab you with our styluses.

Er, okay. Trauma Center? Well, this is a bit more focus on DS capabilites, rather than the gameplay or story. Well, that's not to say the gameplay isn't a focus - since it is the focus considering it's based on the DS capabilties... er.. well, anyway. Trauma Center is based around the player being a doctor and performing surgical procedures. If that sounds interesting at all, go ahead and buy it. You get to cut people up, stich them, remove turmors et cetera.. I haven't beaten in personally, but it's highly recommended.

HOWEVER, it doesn't really matter. You should most definitely purchase PHOENIX WRIGHT if you can find it, that IS. EXCELLENT game. EXCELLENT. Wait.. SUPER EXCELLENT. I kid you not. MOst definitely one of my favorites - definitely a favorite. Repetition I hope is the key to victory here.

Remember, Phoenix Wright. eBay if you have to. Phoenix Wright. If you don't get it, I'll have to object.... Remember, pay attention to the post in all detail.

I actually saw Pheonix Wright at the store but I ddin't know what it was.

I think I am going to pick up Trace Memory, I love great stories.

So Trauma Center is like those old "Life and Death" PC games?

Please indulge me on how Super Excellent Pheonix Wright is. Do you just try cases in a courtroom?(which could be super cool if done right and from your praise I assume it is)

What about online play? Any goodies out there yet with stellar online play?

Right, but most people aren't intended to be educated enough to realize there has been a prior example that's similar.

Well, it consists of two primary situations. The first features Phoenix in the courtroom. It's rather basic stuff, read the character's testimony, press for more information if you like, and come forward with evidence with an objection! It's really fun and the music is top notch! I love the courtroom, I do, I do. The animations, the style, Phoenix, all that jazz.

Then there's "evidence gathering". This is more like an anime dating game. This is where you guide Phoenix through a given scene for a crime and collect evidence, talk to people, and other miscellaneous activities. There's only one or two instances in the game where I almost got stuck. It's relatively easy, and that's good to keep this portion of the title straightforward. The conversation really helps this part slide on by as part of the fun.

I'd highly, with my most prestegious award, recommend Phoenix Wright. Make sure you give it until Case 2 is good and going.

Hm. Well, I've failed to mention this as far, as you've likely noticed. Mario Kart is entertaining, if you desire to play that sort of thing online. Then there's Animal Crossing, a lot more for a social butteryfly and mini-half-sim fan. Furthermore, we have Tetris.. excellent game in its own right, but online play adds that more umph.

Beyond that there are others, such as Metroid Prime Hunters, but I am not entirey familiar with online connectivity. I say this because right now I live without broadband. Though for the Wii launch this will change. :-)

Blah.

I am not into racing games, so online racing gameplay is not going to do anything for me.

I have Animal Crossing:WW. I got when I bought my DSlite.

Pheonix Wright sounds interesting, I think I will pick that one up too. Thanks for the input.

Is Sims2 any good for online play?

Metroid Prime Pinball = underrated and often overlooked game. Comes with a rumble cartridge that fits into the GBA port.

Avoid Worms: Open Warfare, horrible, horrible version filled with bugs and an awful touch screen interface.

I concur, Worms is a piece of crap. Worms 2 for Pc is still the best Worms game todate.

Also, Metroid Prime Pinball is indeed good. When I played it at E3 a year or two ago I was actually surprised at the quality.. Now I own it.

I remember seeing a review on the game. They said the only bad part was the space in between the two screens. What do you think?

I just shrug. It plays plenty well.

How much for those Phoenix Wrights, blue?

I love Phoenix Wright. LOVE, hearts, all that good stuff. <3 Phoenix Wright.

I am going to have a decal on my car soon with Phoenix spread across the back window in his finger pointing pose. The game is grand.

It'll go good with the decal on my hood of the triforce.. ;-)

Yeah. I love video games.

I am going to see if Best Buy has any copies of Pheonix Wright left, i Saw some last time I was there but didn't know what it was, Gamestop is sold out of it. If none are at the store (because instant gratification is better :D) I might be interested in ordering one from you if you still have some.

I couldn't get the supplier wise, so I paid retail... I could probably do $36-38 shipped priority mail.  I think I paid roughly $32-33... somewhere in that range.  They were pretty rare... still are somewhat.  If you want one.. let me know.
@ sky... same thing :)

I am probably going to keep one for myself... maybe... if not, I will have 3 available. I want one, funds are a bit tight though... Just paid for my Gmat $250 (ouch), and have grad school expenses shortly.

I had a batch of Trauma Center come in last week... but they were all spoken for.
