what's do i niid for mii wii!?!

i just gave in and bought a wii. ( i know i'm a little late ) and so far it's awesome but i have no clue about what to i need to get like accessories, games, wiiware. so someone fill me in!
so far i have two controllers and nunchucks, wii sports and the console.

btw i know this is my first post but it's not really my first post. my other account in here got messed up and i had to make another. but o well. 1st post!!!

You can't just expect us to tell you what kinds of games to get if we don't even know what you're interested in first. For example, what genre of gaming are you into?

What I can tell you are what some of the most popular games for the Wii are.

Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Super Mario Galaxy
Twilight Princess
No More Heroes
Super Paper Mario
Okami (especially if you didn't play the ps2 version)

By the way, what do you mean by you "gave in"? Do you have some sort of grudge against Nintendo? Anyway, there's nothing wrong with being a little late. I don't have a Wii yet, but there's no problem with that.

I must admit I love that picture for your AVY., 2relyt5

I will admit that for the Wii, and my the way you spelled the thread that you are in the mix of people that would like all of the First Party Nintendo games.

For Wiiware, you would also like to get like 4000 Wiipoints so that you could instantly get the Super Mario 64 from the VC, Mario Kart, and Donkey Kong from the VC.

In fact there are just too much too recommend, because Nintendo has yet to release a tragically flawed first party game.

Now if you were asking for something other than a nintendo game, then I would suggest Okami wholeheartedly.

i was just wondering what games everyone else has, but since you don't have a wii, you don't have any games.

nope. no grudge here. i just didn't think that the wii would appeal to my gaming tastes. my only other console is the 360 in which I usually just play FPS, RPG's, or sports titles

You didn't ask what games people had...you asked what you needed to get, which largely depends on what you games you like. Also, you shouldn't just write me off because I don't have any games. That doesn't mean I don't know anything about the Wii.

thanks. i had never seen this one b4 on my other account and i came across it this time while scrolling through them and couldn't pass it up!

i rented super paper mario the other day and i like it. so i will probably start checking out games like super mario galaxy, super smash bros and others.
what about rampage? this game was great on 64. and btw am i going to need a memory card for storage. i'm gonna go buy some wii points so i can get some games but i have no clue what type of storage the wii has.

ok you may know everything there is to know about the wii.. but i do not. that's why i made the thread. have you played the wii? if so what games did you play? which ones did you enjoy the most? that's the questions i need answered. that way i can give the games that you liked a try.

Like I said...it's no good to just try every game other people have. Different people have different interests, which is why you have to say what games you're into.

Well, let's start with your interest of FPS's, RPG's, and sports games. That's pretty useful.

If your interest in sports games is not limited to realism, you might want to go get Super Mario Strikers: Charged (it's helpful to have some friends to play with it). One of the main draws of the game.

Metroid Prime 3 is an excellent FPS for the Wii.

I don't know a lot about RPG's for the Wii, but you might be interested in picking up the latest Fire Emblem (which is more like a strategy game, but the term "role-playing" is very vague).

By the way, why did you go and pick up a Wii if you have no idea whether you'll like the games or not?

They've probably got guns for the Wii for novelty purposes, but I'm not sure. Anyway, no, you don't have to buy a gun. For MP3, all you have to do is aim with the Wiimote.

Re: what's do i need for mii wii!?!

i saw things such as the Wii Zapper and some sort a pistol. I figured that it would make it easier to have one. i'm lookin at RE4 too. it looks great.
do i have all the accessories i'm gonna need? two controllers, two nunchucks, and i'm going to get a memory card (don't know how big to get), and a points card even though that isn't an accessories. like i said i have no idea about this system except for what i have learned while playing it a little bit

I can't name a lot of accessories right off of the bat, but one that I've heard of iis the Wii Wheel. It's used for racing games, but I wouldn't recommend it, because I think I heard somewhere that it's easier to play with the controller.

As for the Wii Zapper, it's up to you whether or not you want to get it or not. I think it'd be a lot easier for FPS's to pull a trigger instead of pressing a buton a bunch of times.

Anyway, getting accessories shouldn't really be a main issue at this point. You should focus on getting good games. Another good one that just came to mind is WarioWare: Smooth Moves, which is short, but sweet.

You should also look into some Virtual Console games, like Castlevania, Mario...

I would suggest starting out with a 1GB SD card for your enhanced memory needs, because it appears that you would et tons of Wiiware and VC games.

The Wiiware games are played off the Console, but if you run out of space youhave to do a process of transferring them to the SD card then you can download more. Once the WIi memory fills up you have to put stuff on the SD card. You also can only play the games by transferring them from SD card to the Wii Console Memory. But you dont have to worry about this until you run out of space on the Wii console.

how much memory can the console hold? i heard that it wasn't much. i'm thinking about gettin a 2gb mem card for my game saves and then puttin wii ware on the console. the 2 gig doesn't cost that much

I have one Geneis game, one 64 game, one WiiWare game, and all the Nintendo channels, and I have space just about for one more game.

So I could imagine it can really only hold a small fraction of the available games because of the ability to also have the additional channels, so space is quite limited, definitely only about 256 MB?
