Where are the Wii's?

Not looking to buy one, but I was noticing they are out of stock or backordered everywhere. Heck, you can't even backorder them from Gamestop's website, they just say "unavailable". I would think Nintendo would have upped production seeing as how insanely popular the console is. Do you think Nintendo is losing sales because of this?
 
that's weird down here in florida most stores have wii's on stock...
 
what's been hard to find here in the Tampa area apparently is the DS lite we barely found 4 of them 2 on gamestop and 2 on walmart (for our Venezuelan family )

Yea, same. Local Gamestop has no new DS's in stock, only refurbished ones.
 
I haven't seen a single one anywhere since I bought mine (which was one of 2 the store had and I had to over draw my bank account to get it).
 
Probably the same slump they had after every season. Local stores out even out of most games too, like Gears of War 2 and Halo 3.

Regardless., I doubt much shipping could have been done to stores last week since there was Christmas on that Thursday and then New Years on a Thursday. Probably will be all back to normal next week once they let their workers come back to work. Nintendo probably gave them all 2 weeks paid vacation since they are bringing in so much Cash!

Yesterday.....all my Wii's were so farrrrr away....now it looks as though they're here to play....oh I believe in yesterdayyyy....Suddenly...I'm not the gamer that i used to be....There's a 360 hangin' over me...oh yesterday came suddenly........Whyyyyy myyyyy Wiii had to gooooo I dunno! My mom wouldn't say! I said, sell it please, now I long for yesterdayyyy! Yesterday, Wii was such an easy system to play! Now I need a place to buy a Wii. Oh, I believe in yesterdayyyy. I have only seen two Wii systems since the launch day. Locally they are just not to be found. I would have thought that surely by now? I've never really seen a game system marketed like this.

And I seem to be having this tune of yesterday going through my mind right now.... :? Mega? Stop singing and humming.
 
I've seen 20 Wii's since Launch... I got mine before Launch.

honestly... they really sell out. Out Best Buy stores (Circuit City, etc)... sell out IMMEDIATELY after getting them in. If you time shipments right, you can generally get one every 1-2 weeks. BUT you have to time it right.

What stinks about my Wii, is it completly turns OFF after an hour. So that sucks. Especially when you're right in the middle of winning a brawl battle. :-\

call nintendo they will fix your wii without having to pay a penny
