Who else can't wait for Crackdown?

I preordered mine from Best Buy today, and I can't wait.

The whole ability system looks cool and unique, it is non-linear, has a huge amount of territory to explore (complete with tops of buildings), and it supposedly has some of the best co-op action ever to hit video games.

Oh, and the fact it enables you to play to Halo 3 beta is icing on the cake.

The demo comes out on Tuesday, and will feature online co-op.

There's only one reason this game will sell well and it's about as obvious as "Tobal No. 1" was back in the day on PS1...

I think some people are writing this game off unfairly because it comes with the Halo 3 beta, like MegaDrive.

While it is obviously a technique to boost sales, I think that this game will be good in its own right. If it isn't a sleeper hit, than it will most definitely be a large cult hit. My and my buddy from school are planning to get it together and play it co-op, and I know it will be a blast.

I am betting on an 8.5 gamerankings.com average or higher. I suppose we will have to wait until February 20th though...

I'm not writing it off, because I don't have a pen, like Spartan. it's, but like Spartan said, a technique to boost sale. It's worked in the past and it will do it again.

I've heard that this game is actually better than Lost Planet according to a few sources from 1up.com

See? I think that the beta is more of a way of drawing attention to a good, solid game that would be overlooked otherwise. Not a way of boosting sales for a crappy game. Crackdown may not make GOTY, but I think it will provide a lot of good times.

Exactly and I agree with you. Crackdown may turn out rather well.

Played the demo and still wasn't overly impressed. The rag doll physics add humor but it got old for me. Ah well, there are plenty of other 360 games I can sink my teeth into.

I tried the demo and was pleasantly surprised. It's actually pretty decent, but I don't know how long until I'll get bored with it.

I can imagine a lot of fun from the co-op. Races and competitions would be great. "ill race you to the casino from the hotel." type scenarios.

Oh man, co-op is so much fun. Me and my friend climbed to the top of the Agency building. The fact I fell off 4 times only made it even more hilarious.
