Who loves reality TV?

This show looks so funny: “Armed and Famous” from CBS, http://www.cbs.com/primetime/armed_and_famous It's one of those celebreality shows, this time they are sending Erik Estrada, Jack Osbourne and La Toya Jackson (among others) through police training. I like the celebs they chose, how could you not want to see La Toya Jackson bring some dude to his knees?

If you mean "reality" shows like survivor, dancing with stars, etc. then no, not a big fan. But I do watch a lot of sports and I really like the Discovery channel {It takes a thief, Everest, American Hot Rod, etc.} which I guess are "reality" shows to an extent.

I find the very term "reality TV" to not only be an oxymoron of the highest caliber but also to be insulting to the intelligence of the average person. If there's one thing that's more pathetic than a bunch of washed up celebrities pretending to be placed in "real life" situations it's the act of watching such trash as entertainment. No personal offence is intended at all, but I simply cannot understand why a medium as powerful as television would be wasted on such uninspired garbage.

Television's sole purpose is to keep people sitting there during the commercials. If you want to call that a powerful medium, go right ahead. I call it crap, it's all crap, and reality TV isn't any worse or better than any other TV. C'mon, you know you want to see La Toya Jackson get tasered: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hjj9fCM60Bg

I'll watch almost anything on tv when I do watch it. I don't really see what's wrong with certain reality TV shows.

Couldn't have said it any better myself.

I dont like it but i seem to watch it. Celebrity Big Brother has just started over here and havent watched much but will probably give in and watch it soon. :-\

I admit to watching some with my girlfriend (like Survivor and what not), but I generally don;t watch a whole lot of TV. 18 and still wathcing cartoons. Go me.

But that's what I mean, that is the problem. We have the ability to broadcast images of anything right into people's homes and we waste that power on entertainment. Although, I wouldn't even call reality TV entertainment, but you know what I mean. Television wasn't invented with the sole purpose of advertising, it didn't start out that way, but that's where it's ending up. That is the problem.

the only thing i like about reality t.v. is how it shows you how stupid people can be and how low people will go just get so called "famous" but hey its all in good fun, if nothing else is on pop on some reality t.v. and take a nap!
