Neo Geo CD who owns a cdz system

Hopefully we can get some Neo CDZ owners to reply to this one... the neo cd section has been a little dead lately.

Maybe we can get it jumpin a bit more

I use original discs... not copies...

And emulation is good, I get a nice progressive scan picture with no load times, and some smoothing effects.
 
yeah... same here... I am a puritan when it comes to games. 

IMO its no fun to play them on emus..etc.
but hey... to each their own I guess.

Although... IF you buy the original game, you are entitled to one backup.  I am not opposed to having that 1 backup as an Emu copy... or a CD-R.... as long as the original is owned.  Although, some companies do feel differently.

All in All... its best to buy the original.  There was a cool dreamcast (and pc) mod that allowed you to play the actual Neo CD disc on the dreamcast or PC.  That is pretty cool as well.... although nothing beats playing a neo game on a neo system.

Are you serious?? Is there a way to aquire this mod still?? The reason I ask is if I had this mod, I could start a collection of Neo Geo CD games and use them on my DC untill I can collect the funds to buy a Neo Geo CD console. I am a puritan also, but if this mod will get me to jump start a new collection, then I am sure I could deal with this Cardinal sin untill I get a CD system. :D

Im not sure what you mean by mod, however you can download a ngcd emulator for the dreamcast here

Ah, Im sorry, I should have read the rules.

I used to be a member on the old boards, I posted about a neo geo cd system I bought which kept resetting, clicking and had the 'cd lid' button stuck down lol. All those problems put me off getting a ngcd for a while but I decided to give it another shot and I've jut recieved a system in the post today! So far, so good, lets just hope I dont get any problems.
