I would love to see some good games released on it, but I don't have one so I won't be playing them. Maybe at an electronics store or a friend's house.

That's what you get for betting on Sony :p

What games are coming in March?

by then enchanted arms, nba street home court, formula 1 , college hoops, virtua fighter, motor storm, major league baseball 2k7, oblivion , fear, splinter cell double agent , and the godfather dons addition will be out or at least by the end of march

Who's ready? I am, and I couldn't be more bored.

I can't say that any of those games appeal to me. Many sound like rushed ports. I honestly can't believe that people are choosing Wii or PS3 over the 360. Well, maybe the Wii, if you're into that sort of thing, but the PS3? It has the same types of games (but fewer, and less quality-ensured) and costs a bundle because it has a blu-ray player built into it. Some may say that Blu-ray is the future, but experts are already beginning to write it off in favour of HD-DVD. Many say it's the PS3's fault.

I love my 360 and never thought I would buy a PS3, but it is a very powerful machine and well worth the money for what it offers. Also, the 360 HD-DVD Player is the worst rated HD-DVD Player of any on the market. I have both, and the Wii, but I must say once Lair comes out and other games that use the PS3's power it might be interesting. Remember, it took 5 months before the 360 got a game that used its power. Do not get me wrong, I love both and consider myself a Microsoft Fan over Sony, but the PS3 is a sweet system and well worth the $599.99. Just remember, the 360 is $399.99, then add $99.99 for the Wireless Network Adapter, $199.99 for the add-on (worst rated) HD-DVD Player and you have spent more than the PS3 (And this isn't even taking into account that the PS3 has a larger HD also). And the Blue-Ray Player in the PS3 compares to those sold for $1,000.00 on the market, unlike the crappy HD-DVD Player Add-On Microsoft through at us. You would think Microsoft would have given us a better add-on since we already spent $399.99 for the System.

Well, despite what I said (that was the fanboy talking), I do actually find HD-DVDs/Blu-rays pretty redundant towards a consumer such as myself as I really have no interest in all this ridiculously over-hyped, over-expensive High-Def stuff. I've both watched HD shows and played HD games on a super-expensive HDTV at my friend's house (the rich one again) but I'll be honest, I hardly see any difference! Is anyone else the same?

Nope, I play the 360 on a computer monitor and it is much more sharp than on the TV. I can see roughly 3 times the detail in every game. Not to mention the text is easier to read.

SAM360, If you go to game stop and ask for a used VGA cable it should only be $10. You can hook up to most computer monitors. A wide screen is best, but I have a regular 4:3 and it is fine.

whos ready for next year when the ps3 gets discontinued because of the rediculous price!?

i know i am! :D

Yeah, like that will happen.  You have to understand, some of us are older and make good money and $599.99 is not that big of a deal.    And when you look at it, it is nicely priced for what you get.  And for Sony to spend as much as they did and just discontinue it is a moronic thought and would never occur.

its not user freindly

taking up to 20 minutes to set up, the cross bar menu is poorly designed, and $600 for the average family to spend on a (what most people see it as) "toy" is just absurd.

so yea, the ps3 getting discontinued isnt that wild of an idea.

Actually it is.

Not user friendly? That's subjective as I can navigate easily through it. Could it be better? Yes, but it gets the job done. I didn't realize it took you 20 minutes to set up. It took me five, ten at the most. I didn't realize we were still in the eighties where people consider video games a "toy." That era is over and done with now that these consoles are full fledged entertainment centers.

Although I do agree with you that $600 is a lot for some families, but that doesn't mean people can't save up for it. Especially once more, quality games appear.

you guys are getting me all wrong. the ps3 is a very cool and advanced system, but slighty ahead of its time. i dont have one, so i didnt personally set one up, but i watched a thing on CNN that said that it takes like 20 min. and a lot of adults indeed do think game consoles are toys, including my parents.

But, you probably think the 360 is priced right, but for when you add-on just the HD-DVD you are now at the same price as the PS3. The PS3 is priced right. I thought it was a little too high also, but now when I look back and see that I spent more than that for my Neo Geo CDZ and AES Systems on release and $399.99 for a Saturn and Playstation, $599.99 for a system 10 years or more later is not bad. Look how much other items were back than and what they cost now. Just making a point, but to say it will be discontinued just does not make sense economically for Sony.
