Wii back on top of hardware sales

With 519,000 units sold, the Wii was on top of sales for the month, followed by the DS, with 458,000, and the 360 with 366,000.

The PS3 came in last place with just 121,000 units sold.

Well, so much for the 360's time on top. Looks like it's back to the Wii, and DS dominating the sales charts...
 
Last place including the GBA still, or have people stopped wanting to point that out?

They stopped recording GBA sales figures apparently, but I think it's safe to say it sold under 100,000 units, since they didn't even record it.
 
Looks like that was short-lived. The PS3 now outsold the Wii for the week by a margin of almost 2:1 according to the NPD.

Week sales =/= month sales. Week sales =/= total sales.

Exactly where did you find that? I was almost positive NPD didn't give weekly sales figures, however I did hear the PS3 is selling great in Japan (which does provide weekly sales).

Plus, who knows what the sales figures will look like at the end of the month.

Anyways, I can understand you people are upset that the PS3 isn't doing terrible. It's such a pity that a video game console will actually sell.

Here we go. You're right. 100,000 in a week (That's the same as the Japanese numbers I heard. Maybe the article I read was a bout NA sales, and I just misread it). That's pretty good. I can't find anything on how the Wii sold though.
 
It's no biggie..I was just letting you guys know that the PS3 isn't selling as terrible as everyone would make it out to be.

Well, last month it was, probably no doubt due to the fact that a new, cheaper model was coming out so soon.
 
Yeah, the new, cheaper model's really going to help sales. I don't wish for failure for any system, so I never try to knock a system's sales...really...it's just dumb.
