Blizzard has announced that it has reached 10 million WoW subscribers. At this point, Azeroth has a large enough population to be considered its own country. XD

Not surprisingly. over half of WoW subscribers are in Asia, where the game has become a cultural phenomenon, in some countries. (most notably, Korea)

Oh, yeah, I respect WoW. It does a lot of things right and entertains a lot of people, I just personally can't find enjoyment in the game.

All in all, 15 a month isn't a whole lot. Even so, I still have this personal thing against paying for a game I have the rights to play already.

Hey, you pay just a little less for XBL right? This game just happens to entertain me more.

WoW itself does not ruin anything, it's the idiots who play it that can't function on their own.

QFT. When my body says "Hey, maybe you should sleep/eat/pee" I tend to listen to it.

people pay over $50 a year for a service that could be free so whats $15 a month.

$15 a month is $180 a year...compared to $50 a month for Xbox live. Quite a difference. I personally can't stand WoW. I'm proud to call myself a non-WoW gamer. :)

The way i see it is i have played wow since open beta(3 years ago) and still play today. The average video game is 50-60 dollars and lasts....maybe 2 months of actual playtime. If you buy 10 games a year...

10 games a year at 50 dollars a game comes out to 600$
A year of WoW costs 180$ a year.

And lets just pretend i want to sell my account, i could get about a grand just selling my account. i know people who could sell their account for 20 grand and I'm not kidding.

Well that's cool and all, but I wouldn't be content with only one game. Since I have all three systems, I wouldn't settle for a MMO on a PC. I understand why people play it, and I respect it, but I'm just happy I don't play it.

And I prefer to make my money the honest, hard working way. :)
